Here is just a little info to let you get to know our pub better...

Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.

If you'd like to put a name to a face, allow us to introduce you to the crew...

Front of house

Andy Harris

Andy has come across from the Physician in Edgbaston to take the helm at the Crabmill. He is a Black Country lad who has over 10 years' experience in hospitality. He is a massive West Brom fan and he likes to spend his spare time with his girlfriend Lauren and family. He loves his beer and this will show in his passion for managing the cellar and looking for exciting local beers to sample and offer to our customers.

Duncan Dickson

Deputy Manager

Born and raised in South Africa, Duncan relocated to the UK in 2010 with his wife to follow his passion of working in the hospitality trade. When not working, he loves fishing and is an avid rugby fan. Joining the B&P team in October he could not be happier and looks forward to learning and growing within the company.

Maria Kozlowska

Assistant Manager

Maria joins us with 10 years experience in hospitality. Most recently a privately owned hotel in Kenilworth. Originally from Poland she loves travelling and partaking in extreme sports. Skydiving, rock climbing and bungee jumping to name just a few. If she is not throwing herself out of a plane you will find her at the bar enjoying a gin and tonic or two.

Aimee Fullerton

Bar/Waiting Staff

Aimee was born to work in hospitality. She has a bubbly personality, is always smiling and loves getting to know all of our customers. A well-travelled GIN-dependent woman with friends throughout Australia and South Africa.

Heather Pegg

Bar/Floor Supervisor

Heather is our little pocket rocket supervisor who joined the front of house team at the Crabmill in November 2018, bringing with her over 25 years’ pub and retail experience. In her spare time, Heather enjoys looking after rescue animals; which have included Ponies, Horses, Cats, Dogs and a Rabbit. She also enjoys riding and teaching children horse management and how to stay safe around horses. Oh and drinking the odd pint of cider.....

Szabolcs Szabo

Head Chef

Szabi has been with us since October 2008. He has a great passion for food and experimenting with new ingredients - his favourite is chorizo and he makes a mean goulash. Out of the kitchen he loves his camera and wasting time editing pictures 'til they're perfect.

Benjamin Hensher

Sous Chef

Ben has grown up in the Midlands and worked predominantly in fine dining hotel restaurants in the Cotswold’s. Although his original expertise was in pastry, he crossed over to the savoury side of cooking some years ago as he felt that would make him a more ‘complete’ chef. In his spare time, he has a passion for nature and wild places, travel and photography.

Thomas Warman

Sous Chef

Tom joins us with over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry, born and raised in the local town of redditch he brings with him a lot of knowledge of the area. When he’s not working away in the kitchen, he enjoys seeing the world, one country at a time, as-well as being a big sports fan and keen rugby player.
