Our outside space is now open – Hooray!
We can now welcome those from 2 households or groups of up to 6 people from mixed households (including children), to enjoy some alfresco eating and drinking. We do have outside areas that can be booked online between April 12th and May 17th or alternatively, we are keeping some tables aside should you just want to pop down and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat without a booking. (Please note, from May 17th when we’re able to open inside the pub, you won’t be able to book outside tables online. Any bookings made from May 17th will be for inside the pub.).
Whilst we are obviously all keeping everything crossed for good weather, it’s best to come prepared for every eventuality, so wrap up warm, bring a blanket and perhaps even an umbrella, just in case. If the heavens do open, we’re really sorry but we won’t be able to allow you to shelter inside the pub.
We can't wait to see you all again.

We look forward to welcoming you all again soon.
Welcome to the Fox Revived
The Fox Inn, before it was closed and then revived the first time, was built on what had been the western edge of the Common and is now a lively cross roads. We haven’t yet been able to pinpoint when our pub was first built, but it pops up in the 1881 census, so a fair while back!
All life centres around the bar which is stocked full of whiskys, gins and local ales and comfortably furnished with lazy arm chairs by the fires or stools at the cutting edge of things. We have a beautiful garden room that looks over our stone terrace with views of the sprawling hills beyond, the perfect setting to have a bite to eat and nowhere more pleasant for a catch up with family and friends.
Menus
Our passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world. We upload them to our web site each day before 12 noon so that you may peruse them at your leisure.
