The Armoury is a city pub. We think it's a truly impressive space, illuminated with lovely windows looking out over the river and massive bookcases filled for your perusal. We have a beautiful bar within the centre of the pub which houses an extensive array of whiskies amongst other delights.
We offer a range of local ales and a well-balanced, great quality list of wines designed to complement our food menus which are designed daily by our team of creative chefs who all have a passion for great cooking using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients.

Tap Takeover - Meet the BrewerThursday 2nd May - 7.30pm - Meet the Brewer We have teamed up with our friends at Purple Moose Brewery to bring you a meet the brewer evening. There will be some of their fabulous beers for you to try and to talk through all things beer related from the expert from 7.30pm. Our bar/cellarman Tom will also be here for some extra on hand advice about the beers. This fabulous evening will cost £20 per head which includes a few bar nibbles, informal chats with the brewer and 3 pints of their beer for you to try. You can choose from: Elderflower Cwrw Glaslyn Snowdonia Chocolate Moose Reserve your spot by phone, email or in person at the bar as we are expecting as busy evening and places are limited. If you would like to join us for a pre or post beer tasting dinner then dont forget to reserve your table. We hope you can join us on the 2nd May.

Our passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world. We upload them to our web site each day before 12 noon so that you may peruse them at your leisure.

Use the calendar to book a table. If the time you're after is not available, give us a call and we will try our best to fit you in. We also keep some tables for walk ins.
Reserve a tableiFootpath have kindly created a circular walk from the pub to help you work up that thirst/appetite. You can view the walk details via any of the routes below. (varying levels of tech savyness required -Ed)

We are thrilled to announce that we have been accredited by Coeliac UK and are now running a specific Gluten free menu alongside our daily menu. Many of your favourite dishes are now available as Gluten free! We also have a range of GF beers and drinks so please ask at the bar for more information. Coeliac UK
