Just to let you know that after quite a few years since we first opened our doors, from Monday 24th February, The Sparrowhawk will be closed for some redecoration and rejuvenation. We won't be closed for too long, as we will be reopening at 12:00pm on Saturday 29th February.
We're very aware that wrinkles add character to a face, so rest assured the pub will retain all its character, but we felt it was high time for a spot of TLC.
Thanks Iain and the Sparrowhawk crew
The Sparrowhawk is a characterful country house set within five acres of woods and parkland.
It makes for a beautiful pub. Within we have many spacious, airy rooms, and plenty more intimate nooks and crannies to nestle away in if you're so inclined. Open fires abound throughout, with wooden floors, an attractive collection of rugs and plants, and lots of good old furniture.
We have a terrace for al fresco dining and gardens beyond to make the most of sunnier days.
Our passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world. We upload them to our web site each day before 12 noon so that you may peruse them at your leisure.
