Welcome
Our pub dates from the 1540's and is a jumble of nooks and crannies, so we've tried hard to preserve the character of the building.
Outside we have made the most of the sunny spots by adding a lovely lavender lined terrace where you can dine alfresco if you are so inclined, watching the world go by. But in the winter you can cosy up next to our open fires. It is a classic Shropshire country inn to the bottom of its venerable boots. You'll find good local cask beers, freshly cooked food from a menu that changes slightly daily, decent and affordable wine and a good shelf of malt whiskies and gins (as well as the usual).
Menus
Our passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world. We upload them to our web site each day so that you may peruse them at your leisure.
