New Year Pub Walk ~ Sunday 4th January

Sunday 4th January

We love a good pub walk, and the festive season is the perfect excuse to sneak in an extra ramble — a chance to blow away the cobwebs and enjoy a little ‘R&R’ away from the Christmas crowds.

If you haven’t joined us before, we meet at the pub at around 9:30am, where you’ll be welcomed with a hot tea or coffee and a bacon butty. We’ll set off at 10am for a 5-mile circular walk.

From Glasfryn, the route climbs high into the surrounding hills, passing through the beautiful Gwysaney Estate before descending into the nearby village of Sychdyn, with the aim of being back at the pub for 12pm.

It’s a wonderfully rewarding walk that takes you through classic Welsh hillsides and valleys. It’s a morning made for our four-legged friends, but two-legged friends are just as welcome!

If you’d like to join us, there’s no charge — just give us a heads-up so we can make sure there are enough brekkies for everyone.

We kindly ask that, if you’ve got a bit of loose change, you pop a donation into our tin for our chosen charity, Almost Home Dog Rescue.

If you’d like to stay for lunch afterwards, please be sure to book online or call us on 01352 750500, as the bar can get quite busy. And do let us know if your dog will be joining you so we can allocate a dog-friendly table.

We're praying to the weather gods and crossing everything we have to make sure the weather is fine – but wellies are always advisable
