National Walk your Dog Day ~ Sunday 22nd February

Sunday 22nd February

We love a good pub walk, and what a better way to celebrate National Walk your Dog Day than a stroll round the local countryside.

We’ll meet at the pub on Sunday 22nd February at 9:30am, where you can enjoy a hot tea or coffee and a bacon butty before we head off. We’ll set out at around 10am for a 5-mile circular walk. From Glasfryn, the route climbs into the surrounding hills, passes through the beautiful Gwysaney Estate, and descends into Sychdyn, before returning to base at around 12pm, just in time for lunch.

It’s a wonderful walk, perfect for our four-legged friends, though two-legged walkers are just as welcome.

There’s no charge to join us — we simply ask that you let us know you’re coming below so we can make sure there’s enough breakfast to go around. Breakfast spaces are limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone, but you’re still very welcome to join the walk.

If you’ve got a bit of spare change, we’d really appreciate a donation on the day to our chosen charity, Almost Home Dog Rescue.

We’re crossing everything and appealing to the weather gods for a dry day — but as ever, wellies are never a bad idea!

We hope you can join us.

Worked up an appetite? After a good stroll, there’s nothing better than settling back at the pub for a relaxed lunch and a well-earned pint. If you’d like to join us for food afterwards, call us on 01352 750500 or book a table hereDo let us know if your dog will be joining you so we can allocate a dog-friendly table.
