The Physician is currently closed for a little refurbishment!

This year we are 10 years old. It feels like only yesterday when we opened our doors and met you all. We thought it was about time we had a little refresh. The pub will be closed from 6pm on Sunday 4th October 2026 through to Friday 23rd October 2026 for a little bit of a refresh just in time for the festive season.

We will very much look forward to seeing you all again on Saturday 24th October, which is the day we will be flinging open our doors, raring to go, and back to business as usual. We will be keeping you up to date with things via our social media channels as ever, and cannot wait to welcome you again in a couple of weeks!

Lots of love from Lisa & the team x

The Physician's 10th Birthday Party

Saturday 28th November

You are invited to come and play at our '10th Birthday Party!'

In true Physician style, we’re having a party to celebrate our birthday on Saturday 28th November. It’s become a bit of a tradition for us to have a little gathering each year to say thank you to our loyal customers and friends, and we’re incredibly grateful that you continue to be part of our journey.

This year is a particularly special one, as we’re celebrating 10 years of being part of the local community here in beautiful, leafy Edgbaston, so we thought we’d better mark the occasion properly.

There’ll be live music from 'The Beards' from 7pm until 10pm. These guys are no strangers to our stage and, whenever they play for us, they always get everyone involved. Singing along and having a bit of a wiggle are definitely encouraged, with an eclectic mix of recognisable covers from across the decades.

Lisa will also be floating around with nibbles and birthday cake to keep those dancing energy levels up.

There’s no need for tickets and everyone is welcome, so just come along and join us for the evening.

We really hope you can make it. We wouldn’t have reached our 10th birthday without you!

Lots of love,
Lisa and the team x
