Road Diversion
Southern Gas Networks are carrying out urgent repair and maintenance works following a major gas leak on the A4074, between us and The Packsaddle. The road is currently closed, and diversions may mean your journey takes a little longer than usual so please allow some extra time and plan your route before setting off.
Your table, your favourite drink and a warm welcome are still waiting for you!
We really appreciate your patience and support, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Welcome
Mapledurham is a quiet, rural village on the river Thames, hidden away down a steep, narrow lane. The village formed part of the landscape of The Wind in the Willows, and if you visit you can appreciate how extraordinarily well author Kenneth Grahame has captured the essence and feel of the place.
You'll find log fires burning, lots of cosy corners to lock yourself away, and a well stocked bar right at the heart of things.
Our chefs create delicious seasonally inspired menus in the style of modern British cookery, always including hearty pub classics as well as introducing something a little different, or a little lighter for all occasions.
We have a beautiful garden overlooking the local countryside, the perfect spot, we think to while away an afternoon
We look forward to welcoming you,
Sarah and the Packhorse team.
Menus
Our passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world. We upload them to our web site each day so that you may peruse them at your leisure.
