Black Jug Whiskey Night with Redbreast
The sun may be shining now (for the most part), but cool, heather-scented mists will soon be rolling in from the Munros as we tentatively leave the warmer months behind.
Do not be perturbed, friend. Instead, allow the Black Jug to extend a welcoming hand and guide you through the mists into our cosy pub, with its roaring fires and smiling faces. And to help ease us into those darker evenings, we’ll be providing a warming blanket of malt and golden nectar in the form of our annual Black Jug Whiskey Night on Monday 2nd November.
This year, the evening will be hosted by Redbreast, with William Underwood joining us to talk us through the different expressions on offer and explain a little more about what makes each one distinctive – and, we’re reliably informed, smoother than Pierce Brosnan.
Naturally, we won’t just be listening. We’ll welcome you from 7pm with a drink on arrival, before sitting down for a main course at 7.30pm. Then it’ll be time for the tasting, with around five premium Redbreast whiskeys to work your way through over the course of the evening.
The bar will, of course, be close at hand should you fancy another drink along the way.
