Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.

Deputy Manager
Full of beans and humour, Arek brings positivity to every shift. With years of experience in hospitality and management he brings a relaxing, professional atmosphere to the team. A passion for cooking and a family oriented guy he enjoys spending his free time using them as guinea pigs, to further practise his skills.
Events Co-ordinator
Hannah recently stepped into the role of Events Co-ordinator with us and is absolutely loving it. If you want to throw a great wedding, business event or even just a big old party, she’s your gal. Along with her partner Marc, Hannah loves to travel - think of a country and they’ve probably been there.
Deputy Manager
With extensive knowledge and ample experience behind the bar, including a stint bartending around the Mediterranean, Marc will be sure to sort you out with a drink to your liking. A passion for keeping fit and healthy, this fanatic is never without his protein shakes and bars. He uses the energy to create relationships with our customers and help to widen their knowledge on all our drink products.
Supervisor
Jimmy originally joined B&P at one of our sister pubs, the Hand and Trumpet back home in Cheshire. He came to us a couple years ago when he moved to lovely Bath for uni, and hasn’t looked back since. Having started hospitality life as a kitchen porter before moving to waiting tables, Jimmy has a brilliant understanding of how pubs run, both front and back.
Supervisor
Chloe has been with us since we opened, and has proven herself to be a real asset to the team. With this being her first job in pubs, Chloe has taken to it like a duck to water, recently branching out and working behind the bar. When she’s not at work, Chloe enjoys spending time with her cat, Milo, or popping in to try one of our delicious cocktails.
Supervisor
Dom has recently stepped up from team member to supervisor, bringing her experience, positivity, and calm leadership to every shift. With a natural knack for looking after both guests and the team, she helps keep things running smoothly—usually with a smile (and a glass of prosecco in mind for later). Outside the pub, Dom loves heading off on mini breaks, spending time with her daughter, and doting on her sphynx cat, Frytki, who definitely rules the house.
Bar/Waiting
A popular and gregarious member of the team, Nix has been with us for a while now and loves to be around customers. She likes to know customers are happy and strives to ensure their experience with us is a memorable one.
She has a passion for animals and this begins with her two labradors, Oscar & Dexter which she absolutely adores. Being dog friendly here at the Architect she is always bringing them in for a biscuit or two.
Bar/Waiting
Zeb is one of our bartenders, known for his friendly nature and calm presence behind the bar, even during the busiest shifts. Always happy to chat while pouring your drink, he brings a relaxed vibe that makes everyone feel welcome. When he’s not at the pub, you’ll likely find Zeb at the gym or heading out on his motorcycle, enjoying a bit of speed away from the bar.
Senior Sous Chef
This chirpy chap is always blessing us with his wonderful taste in music! If you want a sing-song, boogey or a full on rock concert, just a request and Flash is on it.
Sous Chef
Amund is one of our sous chefs, bringing passion, skill, and a thoughtful approach to the kitchen. Originally from India, he loves sharing his love of food and learning from different flavours and techniques. When he’s not in the kitchen, Amund enjoys getting out on his bike and making trips back home to visit his family whenever he can.
Chef de Partie
Rob joined us around a year ago, having worked with some of the team previously, he fitted right in! If he’s not in the kitchen, this beer enthusiast can tell you where to find some of Bath’s best pints.
