Deputy Manager

Salary package up to £28,000 plus company benefits

The Two Brewers are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join the management crew. As a Deputy Manager you are a key member of the pub management team and will be expected to support the manager as the ‘right hand’ person in all aspects of sharing responsibility for the day to day running of the pub. You will also assume responsibility for the pub when the manager is not on the premises with the help of the rest of the management team.

Helping to run one of our pubs is a multi-facetted career: you’ll need to be a real foodie; have a real passion for decent beer and wine; enjoy looking after others and help build and direct a happy crew. The role will therefore be very hands-on and extremely varied encompassing people management, food and drink, customer service, pub maintenance and day to day financial administration.

It sounds like a tall order, but in truth we are able to offer a lot of support, and at the end of the day the most important quality we look for in all our people is strength of personality. We like fun characters who set the bar high and have an eye for detail.

The Two Brewers in Chigwell Row is a spacious and relaxing place with a large open fire, comfortable furniture and a well-stocked bar at the heart of everything. All of our pubs are featured in the Good Pub Guide and for us it’s all about serving fresh, simple, high quality traditional dishes extremely well.

Our menu has a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery. Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way.

Bar and Waiting staff - full time

Competitive hourly rate plus tips and benefits

Fancy working behind the bar rather than propping it up?

One of our lovely team is moving on to greener pastures so we're in need of someone to join our team on a full or part time basis. You don’t need to have experience (though it always helps) as we’ll teach you everything you need.

We're part of Brunning & Price, a great group who believe pubs should be beautiful buildings offering a warm welcome, good cask ales, freshly cooked food, great wine and a shelf full of fantastic whiskies and wonderful gins.

We offer the freedom of a great independent 'local pub' built on the idea that the most important thing is happy people (both customers and team) but with the financial stability and savvy know-how of a bigger group.

Oh. and we like beer. A lot.

If that sounds like your cup of tea (or G&T) then send us a copy of your CV or drop by the pub and say hello - we'd love to hear from you.
