Festive Afternoon Tea at The Red Fox
We're delighted to be serving Festive Afternoon Tea at The Red Fox throughout December, available Monday to Friday, between 12 noon and 4pm.
The tradition of Afternoon Tea dates back to the early 1800s and Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford. At a time when it was customary to eat just two main meals a day, the Duchess found the long wait between breakfast and dinner rather tiresome. Her solution was to enjoy a pot of tea and a little something to eat in the afternoon, and a rather lovely tradition was born!
Taking inspiration from the Duchess, we're continuing this much-loved tradition with a festive twist here at The Red Fox.
Our Festive Afternoon Tea includes a selection of sandwiches, cakes and homemade cranberry scones served with clotted cream, accompanied by a pot of tea or coffee.
Festive Afternoon Tea is £26.95 per person, or you can add a little sparkle with our Prosecco Festive Afternoon Tea for £31.95 per person.
It's a lovely excuse to take a break from the Christmas preparations and enjoy an afternoon of festive treats.
Booking is essential, and we kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice.

Please note that we can cater for vegetarian diets on request, but unfortunately, we're unable to accommodate gluten-free or vegan diets, or dairy intolerances, for this event.
