History

Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.

Front of house

Josh Nicholson

Manager

Josh joined Brunning and Price nearly 5 years ago as a deputy manager after starting his hospitality journey as a 14 year old in hotel kitchens. Falling in love with the industry (apparently working 16 hours a day floats his boat) he has never looked back. A trained chef, as well as a seasoned pub manager, we like to think Josh is just about qualified to lead the Plough and Harrow into its new chapter. When not at work Josh can be found spending time with his partner Chole and his daughter Bella, riding his motorbike or enjoying the country-side clay pigeon shooting.

Catherine East

Deputy Manager

Cat is new to B&P but we know she will be a great asset to the pub. She has all the credentials that we look for in our management crew with loads of pub and restaurant management experience and great knowledge of food and wine. With her approachable manner, passion for great service and an eye for the detail she’s certainly come to the right place here at the Plough and Harrow. When she’s not inspiring others with her energy in the pub she enjoys spending time with her partner Tom. Loving the outdoors, the Malvern Hills is where you will find her on a bright sunny day and with her Filipino background Asian cuisine is on her go to ‘come dine with me’ menu.

Ashley Webb

Assistant Manager

Ashley is another new B&P recruit with some great experience in providing top class customer service experience in pubs and restaurants. With a great sense of humour and an earlier career background in nursery nursing Ashley certainly knows how to keep people entertained. Originating from the Cornish seaside with her partner Lewis, Ashley likes nothing more than a pint of Cornish apple juice…. Some call it cider. In her free time, Ashley loves exploring new recipes and drawing cartoon characters. (Signed copies are available on request)

Madeleine Howell

Supervisor

Maddie joins us with a keen passion for all things hospitality having worked both front and back of house. With a warm and bubbly personality and a love of food and drink she’s looking forward to expanding her knowledge of wines, spirits, beers and ciders ……. Off duty of course! When Maddie isn’t at work she loves spending time with her friends and attending music festivals.

Kitchen

Jason Henderson

Head Chef

Jason joins us from another of our sister pubs, the Greyhound where he’s worked his magic as Head Chef over the last couple of years. Jason has many years of experience gained working in the Army and for the Prince of Saudi Arabia. He’s also worked at the Hand and Flowers for his good friend, Tom Kerridge so you can certainly say he knows a thing or two about cooking quality dishes for top brass. Being ex-Army, Jason is a serious worker, up at the crack of dawn and ready for an early start in the kitchen. We are extremely lucky to have his talent here at the Plough and Harrow where his hard work and passion for great food will surely be a recipe for success! Outside of the kitchen, Jason is a New England Pats fan (American Football) and loves a game of darts.
