History

Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.

Front of house

Josh Nicholson

Manager

Josh joined Brunning and Price nearly 5 years ago as a deputy manager after starting his hospitality journey as a 14 year old in hotel kitchens. Falling in love with the industry (apparently working 16 hours a day floats his boat) he has never looked back. A trained chef, as well as a seasoned pub manager, we like to think Josh is just about qualified to lead the Plough and Harrow into its new chapter. When not at work Josh can be found spending time with his partner Chole and his daughter Bella, riding his motorbike or enjoying the country-side clay pigeon shooting.

Kitchen

Jason Henderson

Head Chef

Jason joins us from another of our sister pubs, the Greyhound where he’s worked his magic as Head Chef over the last couple of years. Jason has many years of experience gained working in the Army and for the Prince of Saudi Arabia. He’s also worked at the Hand and Flowers for his good friend, Tom Kerridge so you can certainly say he knows a thing or two about cooking quality dishes for top brass. Being ex-Army, Jason is a serious worker, up at the crack of dawn and ready for an early start in the kitchen. We are extremely lucky to have his talent here at the Plough and Harrow where his hard work and passion for great food will surely be a recipe for success! Outside of the kitchen, Jason is a New England Pats fan (American Football) and loves a game of darts.
