Mothers Day Weekend ~ Afternoon Tea

The ritual of afternoon tea is said to have begun with Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford. In the early 1800s, when it was customary to eat just two main meals a day - breakfast early and dinner late - she found herself peckish each afternoon and introduced the idea of tea with a light snack to bridge the gap. A tradition 0was born.

Taking inspiration from this rather civilised pause in the day, we’ll be serving Afternoon Tea over Mother’s Day Weekend from Friday 13th to Monday 16th March (excluding Sunday).

Served from 3pm, our Afternoon Tea includes a selection of sandwiches, homemade cakes and freshly baked scones with clotted cream, all accompanied by a pot of tea or coffee.

It is priced at £25.95 per person, or you may fancy adding a little sparkle with a glass of Prosecco for £30.95 per person.

We’re able to cater for gluten-free and vegetarian diets; however, we’re unfortunately unable to adapt the menu for vegan or dairy-free requirements.
