An Evening of Port and Portuguese Flavours

Friday 4th September

On Friday 4th September we will be hosting an evening celebrating one of the world's most misunderstood – and wonderfully complex – wines as we explore the world of Port with Myles from Tanners Wines.

From crisp White Port to beautifully aged Tawny and an exceptional Vintage Port to finish, you'll enjoy five distinctive Ports, each paired with Portuguese-inspired dishes that celebrate the rich flavours of the Douro Valley.

Throughout the evening, Myles will guide you through each wine, sharing the history, traditions and craftsmanship behind one of Portugal's most celebrated exports.

Your evening begins with a welcome drink on arrival, followed by a guided tasting of:

Churchill's White Port & Tonic – fresh and vibrant, and Portugal's favourite aperitif.

Manoella 10 Year Old Tawny – mellow, with notes of caramel, dried fruit and toasted nuts.

Tanners Late Bottled Vintage Port – rich, dark and full-bodied.

Noal 20 Year Old Tawny – elegant, with layers of figs, orange peel and spice.

Fonseca Vintage Port 1985 – a rare opportunity to taste an outstanding mature Vintage Port from one of the Douro's most celebrated houses.

Tickets are £64.95 per person and can be booked using the link below.

For those who'd like to finish with something truly special, there'll also be the opportunity to enjoy a glass of Dow's Vintage Port 1963 for an additional £30 per person.

If Port has ever piqued your interest, or you'd simply like to discover something new, we'd be delighted to have you along.
