Charity Pub Walk ~ Saturday 27th September
Saturday 27th September
Our charity walks are back following a short break over summer. We will meet at 9.30am on Saturday 27th September at the pub for bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee before heading out at 10am to walk the local footpaths and fields. Boots or wellies are always advised. We'll aim to return to the pub by about 11.45am.
Dogs are, of course, very welcome but not mandatory. Please keep all dogs on leads whilst at the pub and whilst we walk along any roads. There is no charge for coming, even the butties on arrival are on us! We will, however, sell raffle tickets in aid of our nominated charities where the winning ticket will be drawn on our return to the pub. The winner will receive a lovely hamper full of sweet and savoury treats. There will also be a little something to drink in there too.
This time we are supporting two great charities. We are giving our fundraising for the St Luke's Cheshire Hospice one more push whilst also beginning a new effort for DKMS, who we will be working with over the next couple of months. Two great causes that mean a lot us and to the local community. Therefore, all proceeds from this walk will be split 50:50.
