Front of house

Lydia Pratt

Lydia, our fun loving Landlady. Lydia has worked for Brunning and Price since 2014 starting off as bar waiting staff at the Aspinall Arms then working her way to Haighton Manor moving up to Assistant Manager then to Deputy Manager before being offered Landlady at the Bull. She loves to spend her days off with Ashley, her two ponies Izzy and Dublin and her fur baby, Jeff.

Emma Gardner

Junior Deputy Manager

Emma previously worked as a chef before she decided to make a move to front of house at Haighton Manor our sister pub, she has made her way up through the management team and joins us as Deputy Manager, we are so lucky to have her on board. Emma spends the rest of her time having fun and running around the farm with her husband Tom and her lovely children Tori and John.

Rebecca Willson

Assistant Manager

Bex as she's fondly known started back in 2016 just as bar waiting staff on the weekends, over the years she has worked hard to climb the ladder in the industry and is now one of our Assistant Managers. She loves every four-legged friends that come into the pub and is the best auntie to our pub dog, Jeff. She has a passion for good food and fruity gin.

Aaron Cunliffe

Trainee Assistant Manager

Aaron started work here when he was 16, working part-time at weekends and throughout the holidays. After gaining his degree at Newcastle University in Business with Marketing Management, it wasn't long before he was offered a full-time role and promoted to Supervisor, and he's now set his sights on running his own pub one day! Until then, we will continue to enjoy his upbeat personality and stories of the two recent additions to his family, puppies Leela and Bean.

Chloe Hartshorn

Trainee Assistant Manager

Chloe fondly known at Chlo or by our IT guy at head office a little terrier, started at the Bull as a supervisor and because we loved her so much she moved quickly up to Trainee Assistant Manager. In her spare time she is a lover for baking and makes a mean chocolate cake for us all.

Louise Hooson

Bar/Waiting Staff

Louise worked at The Bull several years ago, and after a break found herself missing the camaraderie and decided to re-join the team last year, and we're so pleased she did! Never short of a smile or a laugh, she's our lovely lunch time lady

Will Sullivan

Bar/Waiting Staff

Will joined our team a year ago, totally new to the area and industry (previously living in Hertfordshire). He has since gained a passion for hospitality and we all look forward to seeing him continue to grow and thrive here. When he's not working you'll often find him exploring the Yorkshire countryside with his wife and two lovely dogs.

Sally Chantler

Bar/Waiting Staff

Nana Sal has decades of experience in the industry from barmaid to boss back to barmaid, but to be honest with you we're all too scared to ask her how many years.

Ashley Postlethwaite

Head Chef

Ashley is our big teddy bear Head Chef, he takes great care in his presentation and work. He joined the company as Sous Chef at Haighton Manor and quickly progressed to Head Chef at the Bull, when he's not working he spends his days off with Lydia and the Ponies and his pub dog Jeff. He likes to think he has a good sense of humour.... note the word 'think' as half the time we just think he's nuts!
