About Us

Here is just a little info to let you get to know us better...

History

Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.

If you'd like to put a name to a face, allow us to introduce you to the crew...

Front of house

Dale

Manager

Dale is a Yorkshire lad at heart but moved down to the Midlands to start his career in pubs, and hasn't looked back! He is an avid Middlesbrough supporter and when they aren't playing, Dale enjoys skiing and Geocaching (ask him if you're unsure of what this is, we were!). If you want to impress him, he has a keen liking for French and Italian wines.

Cat

Deputy Manager

Meet Cat, the behind-the-scenes superhero who keeps our team running smoothly! With a passion for ensuring everyone is happy and having a great time, she’s the heart of our staff organization. When she's not in super mode, you'll find her relaxing with her partner and their cat, Oreo. Her tipple of choice? A crisp cider or a nice glass of wine!

Lloyd

Assistant Manager

Meet Lloyd, on his days off you will find him playing badminton and tennis. He is partial to a cider but enjoys a good Tarquins blackberry with a ginger ale. Pop down and meet him and I’m sure he will share some of his favourite dad jokes

Emily

Assistant Manager

Introducing Emily, the team’s creative spirit! When she's not creating crew notice boards or organising events, she's focused on ensuring both customers and crew are happy.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys crafting, gardening, and spending quality time with her partner, Tom—often over a steak and a large glass of Malbec!

Dylan

Supervisor

Here we have one of our Supervisors, Dylan, who hails from Tipton, right in the heart of the Black Country. He takes great pride in delivering top-notch customer service and always ensures all our customers are well looked after.

When he’s not working, Dylan loves spending quality time with his family, his friends and he’s often joined by Jess, his lively and loyal Jack Russell. A music enthusiast, Dylan’s favorite band is “Bring Me The Horizon,” and when it’s time to kick back, you’ll find him enjoying a nice ice-cold pint Asahi.

Whether at work or in his personal life, Dylan’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence shine through in everything he does. Cheers to you Dylan.

Jack is our very own "Jack in the Box". As soon as the sun rises he springs into life, literally. He is a fun loving, hardworking, crazy (in a good way), adventurous chap who loves nothing more than to keep everyone entertained. Jack hasn't given up on his main dream, which is to perform on stage in the West End. In his spare time he loves a good gym session, and secretly enjoys baking fairy cakes, which by the way, taste fabulous!

Jack

Senior Sous Chef

Jack joined the company in May 2013 after starting his career as a banqueting chef at Alton Towers. Originally from Stoke, Jack is known in our kitchen for his extensive taste in music, especially the hard rock and heavy metal 'noise' we have to listen to if Manchester City lose! His ability to remain calm and approachable under a torrent of checks means he is the man you rely on during a busy shift. When he is not at work you will find him enjoying an ale somewhere or wining and dining his lovely wife Tawry.

Andrew

Sous Chef

Meet Andrew, a passionate Sous Chef who has been with the company for over 10 years. He is someone who loves creating memorable culinary experiences by blending flavours and techniques with creativity and precision. Outside the kitchen, Andrew is inspired by musicals and sci-fi, which fuel his imagination and creativity. When he’s not cooking or enjoying a good story, he cherishes time with his family, which keeps him grounded and motivated.

Nick

Chef

Meet Nick, one of our rockstars of the kitchen! With his love for rock music and a cold lager at the end of the day, Nick brings great vibes and energy to everything he does.
