The Refectory Pub Walk
First Saturday of each month
Our pub walks take place on the first Saturday of each month ...
Welcome
If you've not visited the pub before, you'll find the Refectory a fascinating building seemingly built from architectural salvage, a legacy of its time under the ownership of a family of renowned antique dealers. The Refectory was originally a cattle barn belonging to Milford House, which is the enormous house to the right of the building as you look at it.
It is extraordinary what you can make of a cattle barn: open fires and ancient wooden beams create a homely, cosy feel, whilst outside the extensive grounds and terrace garden are great for enjoying those rare days of sun.
As well as freshly prepared, seasonal food, you are sure to find a buzzy atmosphere, plenty of cask ales, and an enviable collection of whiskies.
We look forward to welcoming you,
Mitch and the Refectory team.

Oktoberfest - Saturday 26th October
Saturday 26th October
Oktoberfest returns to The Refectory! Beer, Bands and Bratwurst! On Saturday 26th October from 5pm there will be much merriment, Bavarian bier and tipple...
Our passion lies in finding quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. Our menus have a spine of classic British dishes complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world. We upload them to our web site each day so that you may peruse them at your leisure.
AllTrails have kindly created a circular walk from the pub to help you work up that thirst/appetite. You can view the walk details via any of the routes below. (varying levels of tech savviness required -Ed)
