Liam

Manager

A Yorkshire lad, Liam joined B&P at one of our sister pubs, the Highwayman in 2019, he then took over the Bull at Broughton in 2023 before taking the leap over Blubberhouses & Kex Gill to Harrogate. Having trained as a chef and worked in the industry for most of his working life, Liam brings a wealth of knowledge on all things beer, wine and food. When he's not in the pub, you'll likely find him with his partner Sophie, daughter Elsie, stepson Rhys and his two dogs, Merlin and Arthur.

Sophie

Assistant Manager

Sophie joined the company in 2022, starting her journey at the sister pub, the Bull. She is our landlord Liam’s other half and together they are proud parents to two children, Elsie and Rhys along with their dogs. A big fan of a cold pint of San Miguel, Sophie loves nothing more than unwinding with a refreshing beer after a busy shift. When she’s not at work, she loves spending quality family time with Liam and the kids, making the most of every moment together.

Joshua

Assistant Manager

Josh joined the team in 2026 after trading in his teaching textbooks for the fast‑paced world of hospitality. He’s a motorcycle lover, a proud poodle dad, and the kind of person who can turn even the dullest of days into a good laugh.

Rushi

Supervisor

Rushi, our lovely supervisor (and occasional chef!) brings good vibes everywhere he lands. He loves hanging out with friends, discovering new places, and taking regular trips to Scotland (and testing out the whisky!)

Eve

Supervisor

Eve joined us in 2025 and when she’s not with us she’s training to be a teacher. She’s a Harry Styles superfan so if you see her in the pub, test her Harry knowledge! Putting her teaching skills to good use, she also writes and hosts our monthly pub quiz. When she’s not at work, you can find her sipping on a nice glass of Rose and planning her next lesson (or her next concert outfit).

Maintenance

Michael

Gardener/Maintenance Person

Michael is a farmer boy at heart, he started working on farms from the age of 11 and still continues outside of his job here at the Nelson. His favourite thing to do on the farm is being outside, looking after the stock. If handling two jobs isn't enough, Michael is a full time dad to his fur baby Bob the border collie who loves the outdoor lifestyle too. Since joining our pub from the opening he helps to maintain our lovely terrace and is our very own Mr Fix It!
