Brush up on your German and dig out your lederhosen because Oktoberfest is returning to The Telegraph!

From Monday 21st September to Sunday 4th October, we’ll be pouring a cracking line-up of authentic Bavarian beers, while our kitchen serves up a selection of Oktoberfest favourites for you to stein and dine. 

Our covered and heated courtyard garden will be suitably dressed for the German party season, with groups of up to 12 people able to reserve a table in our tented space. For larger parties or exclusive hire, please speak to a member of the team.

And there’s an added reason to dress for the occasion – bookings arriving in traditional Bavarian lederhosen or dirndls will receive their first drink on the house. Just mention it when booking.

Stein Bar, Bavarian Bier

Löwenbräu Original 5% – A Helles lager and one of the official Munich Oktoberfest beers, pouring at the festival since 1810.

Köstritzer Schwarzbier Black Lager 4.8% – Smooth and malty with a hint of chocolatey sweetness.

Bitburger Premium Pilsner 4.8% – A clean, crisp lager from one of Germany’s best-known beer brands.

Benediktiner Weissbier 5.4% – An amber, full-bodied wheat beer with caramel notes, perfectly paired with Bratwurst.

German Kitchen

This year’s festival will see the return of a few German classics to our kitchen. Keep an eye on our Daily Menu for dishes including baked Cambozola with rye and pickles, Chicken Schnitzel, Bratwurst and Currywurst, with vegan options available too.

Meet the Brewer – Bavarian Style

On Friday 2nd October, Charles from Adnams will be joining us for a special Meet the Brewer evening, with a selection of Bavarian beers to taste and plenty of beer knowledge to share along the way.

Reserve your table in our biergarten and join us as we bring a little taste of Bavaria to Putney Heath.

And remember, dress for the occasion in full Bavarian attire and your first pint is on us!
