Sunflower Growing Competition
Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May
We're hosting a Sunflower Growing Competition in collaboration with Beth's Sunflowers - Supporting Blood Cancer Research and Patients.
Join us on Saturday 17th or Sunday 18th May 9.30am-12pm to purchase your sunflower, pot it on and choose the best spot for it to grow.
You will need to bring your own decorated pot (there will be a prize for the best decorated) and sunflowers will be available to purchase for £10 each, with all proceeds going to Beth's Sunflowers. Your sunflower will remain at the pub, where you will need to pop in and water it and ensure it's growing big and strong!
Andy from Decormar will be providing the compost for us, we will have trowels, watering cans and canes and plenty of water.
We will be holding our Sunflower measuring and awards evening on Tuesday 26th August, there will be prizes for the tallest sunflower, the biggest head and the best decorated pot.
