We are thrilled to have received the keys to Rake Hall in Little Stanney. It's a magnificent Grade II listed building which originated as a country house, the home of the Bunbury family, built in the 17th century, and later altered and expanded. It sits on Rake Lane just a stones throw (with a good arm) away from the busy Cheshire Oaks shopping 'village', but as it's surrounded by a huge garden you could easily be fooled into thinking you were in the middle of the countryside - so the perfect place to pop your feet up and refuel after a busy 'retail therapy' day.
Our refurbishment works are quite extensive, and have been held up by the ‘current situation’ so sadly we haven’t established when we might be open. We will keep you posted here as soon as we have more of an idea. But, when we do open, we are sure Rake Hall will make a wonderful B&P pub, with a stunning private dining room upstairs seating 20 and a huge new terrace overlooking the lawns.
If you would like to keep up to speed with our developments, Like us on Facebook, or subscribe to our mailing list below and we will send you the odd update. By subscribing to our mailing list, once we are open, you will be entered into our monthly competition to win a meal to the value of £50.
Being foodies at heart, our menu, is something of an eclectic mix, striking a balance of hearty pub classics, complemented by more exotic influences from around the world. It changes regularly and reflects the seasons but always offers a mix of traditional British dishes alongside something a little different.
We're currently working on our opening menu with the chef team but to whet your appetite, click on the link below:
With the help of the AllTrails App, we are planning to create a circular walk from the pub and through the surrounding area, to help you work up that thirst/appetite. You will be able to view the walk details via a number of ways (varying levels of tech savyness required -Ed)
