It all started with our Macmillan Coffee Morning, when we tasked our Sous Chef, Chris, with baking a few homemade cakes. Well, they went down such a treat that we decided it would be a shame not to make them a regular fixture at the pub.
So, from 10.30am every Saturday, we'll have a freshly baked homemade cake waiting on the counter, ready to enjoy with your morning coffee.
Chris will be trying his hand at something different each week, so there'll always be a new cake to look forward to. We'll also be keeping an eye on which ones prove the most popular, so don't be shy about telling us your favourites!
If you're out and about running your Saturday errands, pop in for a coffee and a slice of whatever Chris has been baking that week.
We think this could become a rather nice Saturday tradition.
