Auchentoshan 12 yr - 40% This whisky goes on forever, flavours pineapple, cereals, and soft vanilla remain in taste and impression. £3.40
Glenkinchie 12 yr - 43% Fruity, with notes of Madeira and sweet stewed fruits. A hint of calvados and tannic oak lining the mouth. £3.75

Dalmore 12 yr - 40% Rum butter nose with malt loaf on a light peat heath. £4.20

Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 yr - 46% Aged in port casks there are lots of berries and depth to get stuck into. £5.10
HIghland Park 12 yr - 40% This is one of the best entry-level whiskies, and represents among the best value for money as well. Great balance of subtle peat and honey sweetness. £3.50
Isle of Jura 10 yr - 40% Bright gold. Light and sweetish, slowly developing a soft dry saltiness. £3.20
Oban 14 yr - 40% Slightly salty but with a smooth finish and a butter toffee aftertaste. £4.20
Talisker 10 yr - 45.8% Full bodied with huge plumes of smoke and volcanic, peppery peat. Intense. £4.20

Ardbeg 10 yr - 46% Smoke and brine nose, medium body, sweetness going to salt. £4.50
Bowmore 12 yr - 40% Pears soaked in honey, smoked over peat with dark chocolate. £5.25
Bunnahabhain 12 yr - 46.3% Refreshing, clean sea air, malty with gentle nuttiness. £3.40
Lagavulin 16 yr - 43% This is a beautiful example of a peaty whisky, not too overpowering. £6.25
Laphroaig 10 yr - 40% Famously medicinal and sea-weedy in taste, with a hint of oily sweetness. £5.45

Chivas Regal 12 yr - 40% Dried banana chips showing through on the palate, this time there''''s a creamy hit of barley malt too, pepped up with a little allspice. Notes of ground walnut and caramel. £3.90
Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 yr - 40% Rich and full on the palate. There are notes of wood smoke and dry spice, hints of barley and cereal with creamy toffee and a distinct herbal note. £3.80
Johnnie Walker Red Label - 40% The palate is quite full and rich. There are notes of malted barley and potpourri, a touch of winter spice and fruitcake. £4.30
Monkey Shoulder - 40% Batch 27, smooth and rich, a blend of three Speyside malts. £3.20

Bushmills 10 yr - 40% Thrice distilled and matured in two woods, this is a rich, smooth, single malt. £3.50
Canadian Club - 40% Sweet and gentle. There are notes of winter spice, dark sugars and a touch of rum. £3.10
Connemara Irish Whisky - 40% Well-smoked and peated, heather freshness and floral notes with a honeyed sweetness and a little wood. Full and smooth with notes of malt and peat, honeyed smoke and barley. £6.30
Jamesons - 40% Thick and of good body with notes of orchard fruits, both fresh and cooked with a little vanilla cream. £3.20
Paddy - 40% A very linseedy, flowery nose is followed by a light toffee-based flavour. £3.20
Suntory Hibiki 12 yr - 43% Partly matured in plum liquor barrels and blended with a couple of other Japanese malts this is an amazing oriental concoction. £5.20
Yamazaki 12 yr - 43% Handcrafted at Japans oldest distillery (1923). Clean, sweet malt, charming and very accessible. £4.85
