Sous Chef

Salary package of £26,000 plus tips and company benefits

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join our beautiful gastro pub!

As Sous Chef you'll work very closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of our busy kitchen. That means you'll be cooking and working across all sections, but you'll also have a great amount of input in putting togther the regularly changing, seasonal fresh food menu. We make almost everything from scratch so this is a kitchen for a Sous Chef who really loves fresh ingredients and has a passion for flavours.

We're part of Brunning & Price, which means we have all the independance to run our pub and kitchen how we want, but with the support and stability of a rapidly growing big group backing us up whevever we need it.

As our Sous Chef you will:

  • Train, lead and motivate a brigade of chefs
  • Always push for the best quality and consistency
  • Design and develop fresh food menus and arrange regular tastings
  • Embrace and drive our food culture
  • Prepare fresh food dishes from scratch
  • Be able to manage stock and labour control
  • Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and H&S
