We are looking for an experienced manager who is a warm and charismatic host to take up the reins at The White Hart.
Running The White Hart will be no mean feat – as the manager, you will have overall responsibility for driving a substantial and profitable business and you’ll have the autonomy to choose your beers and wines, negotiate prices with suppliers and, together with your head chef, develop your own seasonal fresh food menus.
It sounds like a tall order, doesn’t it, but we will empower you to be the best boss or your own pub restaurant and really make it your own whilst offering you lots of support and advice from the central team, as and when it’s needed.
It goes without saying that you’ll also need a passion and sound knowledge of cask ales and wines of the world, and be entrepreneurial at heart with proven financial expertise and business acumen. Most importantly, of course, you’ll need to be a natural host, enjoy looking after others and be able to lead a happy crew.
The White Hart is a traditional pub/restaurant in the village of Cadnam within the boundaries of the New Forest National Park. The pub offers friendly, informal surroundings and is an excellent location to quench a hard earned thirst or satisfy a ravenous hunger after a day’s walking through the magnificent New Forest. You’ll find numerous dining areas and alcoves with wood burning fires, bookcases and decent old furniture together with al fresco dining for when the weather is fine.
As a Manager we’ll reward you with a salary packager starting around £35,000 per annum and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on many occasions.
We’re now looking for an additional Sous Chef to help strengthen ourteam. As well as having excellent skills as a Sous Chef you will have apassion for good, fresh food, a good head for business and experience inhelping to set and achieve GP percentages and wage targets.
For us it’s all about serving fresh, simple, high quality traditionaldishes extremely well and together with the head chef and other sous chef chefsyou will help write the menus, assist in sourcing ingredients from the bestsuppliers and set and maintain the highest standards of food quality andconsistency.
You’ll need to have the ability to efficiently manage the kitchen in theHead Chef’s absence and so your kitchen management and organisational skillswill be of paramount importance. Creating a happy working atmosphere is vitalto the successful running of the kitchens, and comes high on our agenda.
This will be a vital role in the pub and is an excellent stepping stoneon the road to managing your own kitchen

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who will help set the highest standards of food quality and consistency. This is a busy working environment, and as well as having high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail, you’ll help the crew set the bar high in terms of cooking delicious dishes, maintaining effective kitchen controls and adhering to excellent standards of health and hygiene.
The potential here is enormous and we’re looking for an ambitious and committed chef with a passion for good food who is ready to take the next step in their career. We provide all our chefs with real opportunities to develop with us into a senior chef role with training and support in place for you along the way.

We are looking for an additional part time Kitchen Porter to strengthen our team, working alongside our busy team of chefs during our particularly busy times – evenings, weekends and lunchtimes.
Duties will be varied and after initial training will include helping to keep the kitchen clean, operating the dishwasher, hand dish washing and some basic food preparation.
