The gardens and the Mill pond are an absolute delight on a sunny day: there is nowhere more pleasant for a spot of lunch with family and friends.
iFootpath have kindly created a circular walk from the pub to help you work up that thirst/appetite. You can view the walk details via any of the routes below. (varying levels of tech savyness required -Ed)
Join us on Bank holiday Monday 2nd May for an action packed Family Fun Day.
For the kids big and small we’ve got sports day games (think welly wanging and apple bobbing!) a falconry display (from 2.30pm) and a bouncy castle, as well as a cake sale and a good old-fashioned pub raffle!
For the adults we’re firing up the hog-roast for the day and serving pulled pork baps from 12 noon along side our Pimms tent and a cracking line up of real ales on the bar.
Cider, they say, is the ultimate expression of the apple. And as it forms one of your five-a-day (or two if you enjoy a couple of pints) it’s also rather good for you*
*Some of these facts may not be true…
So by way of championing this ancient British brew, on the last bank holiday weekend of May we're holding our very own Cider Festival and will have over 25 of the best Ciders these isles have to offer, available all weekend.
