Manager

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum plus company benefits

We are looking for an experienced manager who is a warm and charismatic host to take up the reins at the Mill House in North Warnborough, near Hook and make this characterful business their own. 
Aside from the knowledge and experience to run a successful £1.5m+ business, you’ll need to be a real foodie, have a sound knowledge of cask ales and wines of the world, and be entrepreneurial at heart with proven financial expertise. Most importantly however, you’ll need to be a natural host, enjoy looking after others and be able to lead a happy crew. 
The Mill House, a Grade II listed watermill with its roots steeped in medieval times, is part of the Brunning and Price group of pubs. It’s a wonderfully atmospheric old building, with a jumble of cosy nooks and crannies, oak beams and timber floors everywhere, open fires and a working waterwheel within the building.
Our menu has a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery. Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way.

Assistant Manager

Salary package £22,000 - £25,000 plus tips and company benefits

We’re looking for an additional Assistant Manager to join us at the Mill, who will be a key member of the pub management team and will be expected to support the manager and deputy managers in many aspects of the day to day running of the pub.

The role will be very hands-on and extremely varied encompassing people management, food and drink, customer service, pub maintenance and day to day pub administration.

Being an Assistant Manager is an ideal opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of every aspect of pub life. We see our assistant managers as the first step on the pub management career ladder and we always try to promote from within when we can, so this position could lead to other opportunities within the company.

You’ll need to be a real foodie; have a real knowledge and passion for decent beer and wine; enjoy looking after others and help build and direct a happy crew.

Full and part-time bar staff

Hourly paid plus benefits

We are looking for out-going, friendly people to join our crew to work from 15-40 hours per week or anywhere in-between. We are very flexible and try to work around people’s commitments, whether you are looking for a full time job or simply a few shifts per week, however you run your life we’re sure you’ll enjoy working for us.

Previous experience is always helpful but not essential, as long as you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy looking after people and are able to work evenings and weekends, we would like to hear from you.

Chef de Partie - Live-in accommodation available

Salary from £19,000 - £23,000 plus paid overtime and benefits. Live in accommodation if required.

All of our pubs are featured in the Good Pub Guide and for us it’s all about serving fresh, simple, high quality traditional dishes extremely well. Our menus have a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world – in other words, modern British cookery.

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who will help set the highest standards of food quality and consistency. This is a busy working environment, and as well as having high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail, you’ll help the crew set the bar high in terms of cooking delicious dishes, maintaining effective kitchen controls and adhering to excellent standards of health and hygiene.

We’re looking for an ambitious and committed chef with a passion for good food who is ready to take the next step in their career. We provide all our chefs with real opportunities to develop with us into a senior chef role with training and support in place for you along the way.

The potential here is enormous, we offer excellent rates of pay, staff discount, a friendly working environment and excellent training.  Depending on your experience, we’ll reward you with a salary package from £19,000 to £23,000 with paid overtime; and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on five occasions.

Full and Part time Kitchen Porter

up to £7.50 per hour plus tips and company benefits

We are looking for a full time and a part time Kitchen Porter to work alongside our busy team of chefs during our particularly busy times – evenings, weekends and lunchtimes.

Duties will be varied and after initial training will include helping to keep the kitchen clean, operating the dishwasher, hand dish washing and some basic food preparation.

Previous experience is not required although enthusiasm and a genuine interest in working in a busy kitchen with high standards of food hygiene is essential.
