Manager

Salary package £37,000 - £45,000

Due to an internal move we’re now looking for an experienced manager to take up the reins at this thriving village pub. The White Hart is the real centre of the community in the beautiful village of Chipstead and we’re after a warm and charismatic host who can make this characterful pub their own.  

Running a Brunning and Price pub restaurant is no mean feat. As the manager, you will have overall responsibility for developing your own fresh food menus, choosing your beers and wines, negotiating prices with suppliers and driving a substantial and profitable business.

Aside from the knowledge and experience to run a successful business at a senior level with an eye for detail, you'll need to be a real foodie with in-depth experience in a fresh food pub restaurant environment. It goes without saying that you'll also need a passion and sound knowledge of cask ales and wines of the world, and be entrepreneurial at heart with proven financial expertise and business acumen. Most importantly of course, you'll need to be a natural and charismatic host, enjoy looking after others and be able to lead a happy crew.

It sounds like a tall order doesn’t it, but we will empower you to be the boss of your own pub restaurant and really make it your own whilst receiving lots of support and advice from the central team, as and when it’s needed.

The White Hart sits in the pretty village of Chipstead in Surrey, with delightful countryside views all around. This is a classic pub with panelled walls, open fires, rugs and good honest furniture.

Our menu has a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by some more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery.  Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. 

We’ll reward you with a salary package from £37,000 - £45,000 and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on several occasions.

We are looking for fun characters who have a passion for decent food & drink and enjoy delivering exceptional customer service. 

The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills with one or more years’ experience in a similar customer facing role, working as part of a team in a busy food led environment.

Chef de Partie

Salary from £18,000 - £22,000 plus paid overtime and excellent benefits + accommodation

All of our pubs are featured in the Good Pub Guide and for us it’s all about serving fresh, simple, high quality traditional dishes extremely well. Our menus have a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world – in other words, modern British cookery.

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who will help set the highest standards of food quality and consistency. This is a busy working environment, and as well as having high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail, you’ll help the crew set the bar high in terms of cooking delicious dishes, maintaining effective kitchen controls and adhering to excellent standards of health and hygiene.

The potential here is enormous and we’re looking for an ambitious and committed chef with a passion for good food who is ready to take the next step in their career. We provide all our chefs with real opportunities to develop with us into a senior chef role with training and support in place for you along the way.

Depending on your experience, we’ll reward you with a salary from £18,000 to £22,000 plus paid overtime and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on five occasions.
