Big and exuberant, you'll find here a big hit of blackberry on the nose, with a hint of vanilla on the palate.

One of the most famous of the French reds, this is an exquisite example of this wine. Soft berries are in abundance on the nose, with ripe fruit with a touch of black pepper on the palate, finished with an elegant, clean finish.

Cracking French Merlot. Apologies for the new-world style name, but this wine is packed with jammy flavours of young, ripe fruit.

From the cooler climes of the Languedoc, bright and fresh with a long juicy finish.
Rich and plummy
Malbec, Alamos, Argentina 19.95
Dark violet, almost blackish in colour. Full and soft with blackberry fruit flavours.

True class. A very carefully structured wine, even down to the vinification. This oozes finesse.

Full of all the model characteristics one would expect from a Californian Zinfandel. A luscious fruity, spicy nose repeated on the palate, finished with depth and structure.

An intensely fruity wine which remains really velvety, with a good hit of cherry in there to keep things iteresting.

An elegant Rioja with notes of vanilla, toast, fruits of the forest and liquorice. Smooth tannins on the palate with good length and a velvety finish.
Robust and full-bodied
Valpolicella, Zenato, Ripassa, Italy 30.00
An amazing wine. A prime example giving the characteristic velvet smoothness and depth. Great cherry and plum pudding flavours with the softest of tannins.
Morgon, Chateau de Raousset, France, 2002 24.50
Premier Cru Beaujolais, quite light but full of body and robustness. Full of flavour and quite delicious.
Lirac, Domaine Roc, Rhone, France 24.95
A powerful smooth and rich wine with a complex nose and flavours of red fruit, cherries and spice.
Saam Mountain Pinotage, South Africa 3.45 18.95
A cracker, brimming with ripe fruits with an ever so slight jammy sweetness.
Rosé

Light, dry and crisp. Refreshing & easy drinking.
Gran Clot dels Oms Rosado, Spain 23.95
A mix of Merlot and Cabernet grapes, beautifully dark and pink in colour. Pronounced strawberries and cream intensity on the palate and finish.
Tavel, Domain Lafond, France 19.95
Tavel is the premiere rosé of France, and is dry, fruity and full. A superb all-round food wine, highly recommended. A rosé for wine drinkers.
Syrah Rosé, Domaine Grauzan, France 3.10 16.95
