A crisp, clean, apple-fresh white makes this very easy drinking.
House Medium
Cuvee Jean-Paul, France £2.40 £12.95
A great medium sweet wine with good body.
Light and crisp
Muscadet sur lie, France £16.95
Bundles of fruit with a very crisp and dry finish. As with most Muscadets this will go beautifully with seafood.
Pouilly Fumé La Rambarde, France £21.95
A really classical French Sauvignon - smokey, grassy with a hint of lime. True elegance.
Pinot Grigio, Casa Defra, Italy £2.50 £15.50
Displays everything you want from a Pinot Grigio, with a slightly citrus feel and a rounded creamy finish.
Crusan, Sauvignon Blanc/ Columbard, France £2.50 £13.95
A lovely light white with good appley fruit and a soft lemon meringue finish.
Grillo, Serenata, Italy £15.95
The Grillo grape was new to us, but it has proved to be a real find. It's light and dry but with luscious fruit flavours and in truth is a bit of a session wine.
Fuller and More Rounded
Sancerre, Vincent Delaporte, France £21.95
A classy, fresh Sancerre with an abundance of grapefruit and gooseberry. Well balanced with good weight.
Chenin Blanc, Living Rock, S.Africa £2.50 £13.95
Just from the richness on the nose you know it will be fruit laden. A very well rounded wine with almost a creamy finish.
Pouilly Fuissé, Les Chailloux £26.95
A beautifully constructed wine, with subtle honey flavours and what seems an ever lasting finish. Sheer quality.
Vistamar Chardonnay, Chile £2.50 £13.95
A super little Chilean Chardy. Makes very easy drinking with or without food. That's probably all you need to know.
Chablis, Oliveira Lecestre, France £22.50
Light and slatey, this wine is a good demonstration of Chablis. Pale in colour, it is clean, light and yet flavoursome.
Remi and Jerome Chardonnay, France £14.95
Sounds like a couple of old cabaret singers, but this is wine is buttery in the mouth and has hints of lemon in the finish.
Fruity and aromatic
Margan Chardonnay, Australia £23.95
This Chardonnay is rich and powerful and delivers a mix of peaches, melons and creamy vanilla oak. Perfect for any Chardonnay lover.
Verdelho, The Mill, Australia £18.95
Something different from down under. This Verdelho is certainly fruity but holds a very dry finish.
Verde Ca' Ruptae, Verdicciho, Italy £17.50
Good lightweight tropical fruit with almost a hint of fizz on the tongue. Something a bit different and best with food.
Pinot Blanc, Pfaffenheim, Alsace £17.95
A classy Pinot Blanc with a crisp, fresh, slightly spicy character. This shows all the typical attributes of quality Alsatian wine.
Sauvignon Blanc, 3 Stones, New Zealand £19.95
All you could want from a New Zealand Sauvignon. A nettley nose, with soft deep gooseberry fruit in the mouth, yet finishing dry.
Reisling, Selbach, Germany £18.95
This wine is really approachable - a tasty little number with ripe fruit and decent structure in the mouth.
Rosé
Sierra Cantabria, Spain £2.60 £15.50
A great Rioja rosé. Really refreshing, good fruit without being too sweet.
Manon, Cotes de Provence £2.80 £18.50
A wonderfully light rosé that is pale in colour and has a dry yet creamy feel to it, with a hint of summer fruit flavours.
Rosapina, Moncaro, Italy £13.95
This rose is slightly darker in colour but it is still very light in taste with the fruity sweetness of berry fruits.
Sparkling Wine and Champagne
Louis Roederer £35.00
This should need no introduction. A top-notch Champagne from one of the classic houses.
Prosecco £18.95
Very lightly sparkled and juicy. A good time wine.
Camille Saves £29.95
A superb Premier Cru from the Bouzy region.
Boizel, France £35.00
Pink champagne anybody? This is delightully light and fruity with a dry finish.
Pudding wine
Tokaji, Hungary £12.95
It comes in a very small bottle (250ml) but is guaranteed to be finished off. Lovely ripe fruits and a sort of nutty feel to it.

House Red 125 ml Bottle
Villa Moncaro, Italy £2.40 £12.95
A friendly Sangiovese from the home of wine. Being both soft and clean it's particularly moreish.
Light and fruity
Chianti, Reicine, Italy £23.95
A superbly weighted wine with hints of bitter cherries and deliciously soft tannins.
Pinot Noir, Churton, New Zealand £24.50
A super new world Pinot Noir. Its gentle nose and easy finish make this an excellent lunch-time wine.
Morgon, Chataeu de Raoussett, France £22.95
A lovely fruity Burgundy style nose, perfectly light in the mouth with a long subtle finish.
Rondan, Rioja, Spain £2.70 £16.95
Vanilla and oak on the nose, beautifully soft in the mouth makes for a good quaffing rioja.
Bottle tree Shiraz/Cabernet, Australia £15.50
A tasty and fruity Shiraz which is very light in style: a perfect lunch-time wine.
Soft and plummy
Etchart, Malbec/Cabernet, Argentina £2.60 £14.50
A real gem of a wine, a cracking example of an Argentinian Malbec blend, with lovely soft and ripe fruit. This is one to snuggle.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Nadaria, Italy £2.40 £13.50
Easy drinking Cabernet Sauvignon. Subtle, ripe berry flavours with balanced oak and a soft but tannic finish.
Syrah, Nadaria, Italy £14.95
A good soothing wine, with hints of chocolate, good fruit and a slight caramac bar taste.
Pinotage, Franschoek, S. Africa £17.25
A well-constructed Pinotage right through from the nose to the rounded and slightly dry finish.
Peacock Ridge, South Africa £20.00
What a find this Merlot is. Ripe, herbacious fruit flavours with a super soft feel. One to cuddle up with.
Carm, Portugal £19.50
Organically produced, this is a superbly rich and full wine with strong, rich and deep fruit flavours.
Berri Estates, Merlot, South Eastern Australia £2.60 £14.95
A well rounded Merlot, soft and light with good plummy fruit in the mouth. A happy-go-lucky kind of wine.
Soft and earthy
Crozes Hermitage, Dom. des Entre Faux, France £22.50
This is Rhone wine through and through. A big rustic nose with a lovely fruit-led feel in the mouth.
Languedoc, Dom. De Poujol, France £17.95
A classic Languedoc wine made for easy drinking. One bottle is never sufficient.
Chateau Barrail, St Emillion Grand Cru 1998, France £35.50
We decided that if we were going to put a good claret on our list we'd pull out all the stops and get one from the top shelf. So here it is and it's the real deal.
Rioja Reserva, Vega del Rayo, Spain £21.50
For all those Rioja lovers out there. This is from the top shelf. Deep and soft with a long subtle oaky, vanilla-flavoured finish.
Chateau Les Amoureuses, Rhone, France £25.00
A great wine with delicate fruit and spice in the mouth and a subtle, lengthy finish.
Slowine, Shiraz, South Africa £2.50 £15.95
Classic Shiraz traits. Soft, smooth and earthy, with some spice and pepper on the back end.
Carmenere, Ruchahue, Chile £19.50
This wine is very interesting. Herbacious and earthy with a touch of spice and a very warm, smooth feel to it.
Stonehedge, Merlot, U.S.A £22.00
A lovely jammy Merlot with a good softness to it and a little bit of age that gives it a perfectly balanced feel.
Robust and full-bodied
Amarone, Rugola, Italy £35.50
This Amarone oozes quality and sublety right the way through from nose to finish.
Valpolicella, Zenato, Italy £18.95
Just the nose on this wine tells you it is going to be warm, soft and velvety and it doesn't fail to deliver.
Shiraz, Cappels Court, S. Africa £17.50
A very full, fruit laden Shiraz with a dark chocolate feel and slightly peppery finish.
Chateauneuf du Pape dom. De Nalys, France £29.95
Juicy, heavy, fruity and earthy. Simply a stunning Chateauneuf du Pape.
Massaya Classic, Lebanon £19.95
From the sun-bathed Bekka valley this wine is deep and hefty with herbs and earthiness in abundance. This wine would go very well with rich food.
