We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to
support the management team in the many aspects of the day to day running of the pub. You’ll need
to be a real foodie; have a real knowledge and passion for decent beer and
wine; enjoy looking after others and help build and direct a happy crew.
The role will be very hands-on and extremely varied encompassing people management, food and drink, customer service, pub maintenance and day to day pub administration – it is an ideal opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of every aspect of pub life.
We see our trainee managers as the first step on the pub management career ladder and we always try to promote from within when we can.
We’ll reward you with a salary package of up to £20k per annum and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on five occasions.
We're looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who will help set the highest standards of food quality and consistency. This is a busy working environment, and as well as having high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail, you'll help the crew set the bar high in terms of cooking delicious dishes, maintaining effective kitchen controls and adhering to excellent standards of health and hygiene.
Are you an enthusiastic chef who wishes to start your career in a high quality, fresh food environment? This exciting opportunity will enable you to gain experience in all areas of the kitchen whilst working towards a Level 2 and/or Level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery.
As an Apprentice Chef, you’ll assist the team in food preparation and production, menu development and food tasting, as well as helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy and organised.
You’ll need to be able to work well under pressure, our kitchens are busy, fast paced environments but the rest of the chef team will be there to support you. You’ll also need to have a genuine passion for cooking fresh food and a keenness to learn. We’re looking for reliable, punctual, people with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Our menus have a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery. Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way.
Apprentice Chefs will work between 30 to 40 hours a week and your college time will be included in these. Please note you’ll need to work weekends and evenings and you should consider how you will get to and from the pub.
