    The Armoury - Whites

    Cortesi Marche Bianco £2.80 £14.65
    Marche bianco is a great fresh and fruity white wine, ideal with or without food for every day drinking. The Moncaro co-operative produces consistently quality wine.
    Cave de Masse £2.80 £14.65
    Cave de Masse use grapes from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, this makes for a wine that has a clean crisp modern style with excellent balance.
    Light and Crisp
    Pinot Grigio - Veneto, Le Poesie - Italy £3.30 £18.35
    Everything you want from a Pinot Grigio, with citrus notes and a rounded nutty finish. This wine comes from the 8th largest wine producing area in Italy, is protected from harsh winters by the Alps and warmed by the mediteranean in the summer.
    Sauvignon Blanc - La Baume - France £3.50 £19.35
    A traditionally crafted fresh and fruity Sauvignon with lots of delicate texture. This is lightly herbaceous with plenty of tropical fruit characters to finish. From the sunshine of the Languedoc region.
    Gargenega / Trebbianno - Viala Garganega - Italy £19.35
    From the Mia Viala winery near Veneto in the Northern part of Italy. Predominantly Garganega with a bit of Trebbiano, makes for a light, fruity easy-drinking Italian white wine with a clean fresh finish.
    Sancerre, Hurbert Brouchard - France £28.55
    Classic Loire Sancerre with bags of elegant dryness, complemented with succulent grapefruit and gooseberries. probably down to it being planted in half lime and half flint, and also the grapes come from 35 year old vines. it's been worth the wait.
    Pouilly Fumé - Domaine Landrat - Guyollot - France £33.75
    A really classical French Sauvignon - Refreshingly crisp white wine that offers citrus and tropical fruit flavors with very aromatic notes of green chilies, grass, and herbs. .
    Aromatic and Tropical
    Sauvignon - Riverstone Ridge - New Zealand £4.00 £24.00
    Full bodied vibrant kiwi white is bursting with aromas of honey, peach and pineapple. Mixed in with a plethora of possible tropical nuances. it has a mature deepyellow fruit character, this is waiting to be sensed.
    Chardonnay - Macon Peronne, Domaine du Bicheron - France £24.45
    A subtley floral French Chardonnay that is carefully made. This represents excelent value.
    Clean and Rounded

    Rich peach and pineapple flavours with crisp lemon and lime aciditymake for a deliciously fruity easy drinker.
    Chardonnay - Rucahue - Chile £3.30 £18.35
    This unoaked Chardonnay has intense aromas of tropical fruit with a full and creamy palate. Think you don't like Chardonnay? This one could possibily change your mind.
    Melon - Muscadet La Sablette - France £19.35
    A blast from the past - but this is groovy wine that deserves to be re-discovered.
    Gewurtztraminer - Aresti Estates - Chile £17.85
    A mix of flowers on the nose and fruit in the mouth.

    Chenin Blanc - Kleine Zalze - South Africa £3.30 £18.35
    This Chenin Blanc from the sun-drenched vineyards of South Africa's Western Cape region, delivers zesty citrus aromas with a hint of lychee on a fresh lingering palate.
    Chardonnay - Chablis Domaine Chevalier - France £28.55
    An oaky style of Chablis with restrained citrus flavours.
    Chenin blanc - Chateau Gaudrelle - France £30.00
    This classic Vouvray has just the right amount of residual sugar to balance out the racy acidity of the Chenin Blanc grape. A beauty of a wine waiting to be re-discovered.

    A true classic of the modern pinot with a light blushing , making for a sherbert explosion of lovely fruits and summer nuances.

    This elegant & fragrant Pinot Grigio Rosé is delicately aromatic & deliciously crisp on the palate. The 'Blush' hues are obtained from the pale copper coloured skins of the Pinot Grigio grapes. .
    Zinfandel - Kissing Tree - Californian £3.40 £18.95
    A luscious Zinfandel Rosé from the warm, tree lined vineyards of California, bursting with ripe aromas of wild strawberries and exotic fruits.
    Cabernet Franc - Saumur Sparkling Rosé - France £26.55
    This methode traditional pink sparkler. Aged in deep cellars under the town of Saumur to attain the highest quality. This wine has delicious flavours with a hint of brioche: proper kit.

    Wine expert Oz Clarke describes Montepulciano as producing a 'round, plummy and weighty red with ripe tannins, and good acidity' enough said.
    Light and Fruity
    Primitivo - Italy £3.30 £18.35
    Deeply colored, rich, and concentrated with flavors of zesty cherry, clove, wild blackberry, raspberry and spice. In the 17th century, it is known that the Benedictine monks named the varietal 'Primitivo' because of its precociousness (early maturity of the grape).
    Montepulciano d'Abruzzo - Italy £20.35
    Montepulciano d ' Abruzzo was designated as a DOC in 1968. It covers most of Abruzzo ranging from Molise in the south, the Marche in the north and inland against the Apennines Mountains. an area which oozes quality and class in each glass.
    Pinot Noir - Alto Pampas - Argentina £3.40 £19.05
    If you fancy a light drinking red with good levels of alcohol this is the one. An easy drinking wine that invites you to more than one bottle.
    Smooth and Earthy
    Chateauneuf du Pape - Domaine Nalys - France £34.65
    Earthy, leathery, tarry, with hints of liquorice and a massive finish. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you are drinking wine from the world famous village in the Rhone.
    Rioja - Vina Palaciega Joven - Spain £18.95
    This Rioja is classic in style with a well-deserved reputation for quality. Intense aromas of ripe fruit well integrated with attractive spicy nuances from the oak. Plums, prunes and berry flavours with a hint of liquorice. This all makes for a layered herbacious wine.
    Cotes du Rhone - La Denteliére - France £24.45
    Soft, mellow and very smooth, with plenty of warming berry flavours and a subtle hint of spice to fininsh.
    Warm and Spicy
    Claret - Tanners - France £20.35
    A well made Claret with a tremendous bouquet and a powerful yet refined nose.
    Gigondas - La Closerie - Southern Rhone, France £25.45
    A handsome wine with opulent, perfumed violets preceeding a solid tannic frame and intense dark fruit.
    Chateau les Amoureuses - France £28.65
    Glossy raspberries in abundance, with a pinch of pepper in the finish. This has a complexity that tempts you back again and again.
    Dao quinta do Correio - Portugal £25.00
    This wine is made from local grape varieties. With ripe and rounded jammy fruit flavours, this is smooth with soft tannins.
    Merlot - La Baume - France £3.50 £19.35
    This bronze award winner is something of a treat. It is well rounded and fruity with spicy blackcurrant flavours.
    Protocolo - Tempranillo- Spain £3.30 £18.35
    Typical rich berry flavours with ripe and robust tannins and a long well balanced finish. It's a bit of a baby Rioja.
    Saint-Emillion grand cru - Chateau Teyssier - France £43.95
    A stunning Claret, dense in colour with aromas of cherries and violets forming a harmonious mix.
    Shiraz - Peter Lehmann - Australia £3.50 £19.35
    Rich and full bodied with intensely concentrated fruit flavours and mellow oakiness.
    Rich and Plummy
    Cabernet Sauvignon - Luis Felipe Edwards - Chile £3.30 £18.35
    A small amount of Merlot is added to the Cabernet to give this a more rounded edge. It still remains however, lifelong friends with anything meaty.
    Cabernet Sauvignon - Eventide Cellar - South Africa £26.50
    A quality well balanced South African red packed with juicy plum and cherry flavours.
    Merlot - Mont Gras Le Paz - Chile £3.30 £18.35
    A rich and plummy merlot that hits the spot.
    Dark and Satanic
    Corvina - Amarone Zenato - Italy £46.95
    The king of Veronese wines, ruby red with a deep bouquet of smoky chocolate, a rich spicy palate and subtle tannins. Corvina grape is one of the classic grapes of the Veneto region of Italy. It is usually the predominant grape in the blends used for Bardolino and Valpolicella. .
    Cabernet / Mourvédre - Massaya - Lebanon £32.15
    This wine comes from the hot-baked red earth of the Bekka valley in Lebanon. A blend of Cabernet and Mourvèdre aged in new oak. Firm, exotically fruited spicy nose with a lovely savoury, meatyness. .

    Especially selected from the best vines of the estate that have been stressed in years of drought, giving low quantities of incredible Shiraz fruit. .
