If you like Gewurztraminer then this is a very tasty number. A mix of flowers on the nose and fruit in the mouth.

This should need no introduction. A top-notch Champagne from one of the classic houses.
Chateau De Montgueret, Samur, France £24.95
An elegant rosé with strawberry aromas and a creamy texture.
Camille Saves Carte blanche £29.95
This is a mid range Grand cru, from the area of Bouzy, so with area name like that it must be good - Or should I say it will make you bouzy!! .
Prosecco, Italy £18.95
An off-dry, fruity sparkler with not too much fizz. All good fun.
Rosé
Rosé D'Anjou 2006, France £2.95 £17.95
Light quaffing rosé with hints of strawberries, raspberries and a refreshing, soft finish.
Cotes de Provence 2006, France £19.50
A dry, stylish rosé with toasted jelly babies and Turkish Delight on the palate with a long, well balanced finish.
Melbourne Lounge Rosé £17.95
With notes of fresh strawberries and redcurrants, this baby is dry in rosé terms, but has a lovely satisfy glow about it after a bottle. .

A well made Italian stallion. This is soft, clean and particularly moreish.

Earthy, leathery, tarry, hints of liquorice with a massive finish, yes ladies and gentlemen, you are drinking wine from the world famous village in the Rhone.
Le Carredon Merlot 2006, Vin du Pays £2.90 £15.95
A well rounded beast, typically plummy with a warm heart.
Fitou Les Douze, Languedoc £19.95
A touch more weight than a straight quaffing Fitou, this wine carries spicy, full-bodied flavours and a long finish.
Chateau Les Amourorses 2004, Cotes Du Rhone £24.95
A fragrant, moreish, supple Rhone with loads of soft vanilla and violet aromas. A real favourite.
Tour de Pez 2001, Saint-Estephe £31.50
An excellent wine from Bordeaux, hints of cassis and cedar.Bags of character with well balanced tannins and a full finish.
Chateau De Raousset, Morgon 2002 £27.95
Ripe fruit aromas of plum and cherry. Full in the mouth with a good firm structure. .
Chateau Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 1998 £41.95
Upper Bordeaux in all its glory with Merlot the predominant grape and Cabernet Franc lingering in the background. Like all top notch Bordeaux it has stunning fruit and earthy depth with deep complexity and a long finish. Class.

This is what Claret is all about. Bucket loads of earthy fruit, tannin and structure with a complexity of flavours. The sort of wine that makes your toes tingle.

A well made Claret with tremendous bouquet and powerfull yet refined nose.
Italy
Valpolicella Classico Superiore 'Ripasso' 2003, Veneto £28.50
Pumped up plums and black cherry fruit with a hearty powerful finish. Real Italian wine.
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2005 £18.95
A tasty little number with soft ripe fruit and good structure, at the quality end of the Montepulciano scale.
Chianti Ruffina 2005 £27.50
Hints of cherry and spice with a full body that manages to pull a succulent fresh finish out of the bag, an all-rounder if ever there was one.
Amerone della Valpolicella 2002, Rugolia £45.50
A richly sumptuous, velvety red with hints of prunes and dark caramelised fruits.
Spain
Lar de Barros Tinto Tempranillo 2005 £3.10 £16.95
Spanish red in full song with lots of soft fruit and a touch of oak, Rioja in all but name.
Rioja Salceda Crianza 2003 £21.50
Fifteen months in American oak and further ageing in the bottle give this Rioja a splendid complexity whilst showcasing everything good about Spanish wine.
Rioja Rondan Reserva 1998 £25.95
Beautifully made old style Rioja. Intense in colour and nose with a soft blackcurrant and liquorice palate. .
Chile
Los Vilos Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 £2.60 £14.95
A small amount of Merlot is added to the Cabernet to give this a more rounded edge. It still remains however, life long friends with anything meaty.
Purisima Estate Merlot 2005 £3.10 £16.95
Intense fruit and and gentle tannins from new French oak give this New Worlder a quite wonderful velvet finish.
Portugal
Marques de Borba 2005 £19.95
A good, honest, tasty, rich and deeply satisfying Portuguese red.
Argentinian
El Malbec de Ricardo Santo 2004 £21.95
Argentinian Malbec has improved dramatically in recent years - this is powerful but supple and makes a great food wine.
Lebanon
Massaya Classic 2005, Bekka valley £22.50
From the same cradle as Chateau Musar, this packs some serious dark fruit and oozes quiet, manacing power.
U.S.A
Stonehedge Zinfandel 2005, California £19.95
Grandmother's homemade jam on the nose and ripe dark fruits on the palate make this Californian wine delicious.
South Africa
Capell's Court Shiraz 2006 £17.50
A little corker this one, with loads of juicy fruit, a lengthy finish and 15 degrees of alcohol to boot.
The Tin Mine, Zevenwacht 2004 £23.95
A quality blend of grapes producing a well balanced wine packed with juicy plum and cherry flavours.
Eventide Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 £24.95
A quality well balanced South African red. Packed with juicy plum and cherry flavours.
Australia
Canonbah Bridge, Drought reserve Shiraz 2002 £34.95
This absolute corker Aussie number is produced only during years where rainfall is low: the result is small intense berries that produce a wine of Amarone proportions that is sweet and packed full of dark fruit, raisins and fresh leather.
Sunnycliff Shiraz 2004 £2.95 £17.25
Great Aussie Shiraz is what you will be getting here, hard on fruit and light on the pepper - make mine a large one.
Pudding wines
d'Arenberg vintage fortified shiraz (37.5cl btl) £21.95
Very old vines and grapes picked at peak of ripeness make this a real intense solid wine.
Royal Tokaji 2000 (17.5cl btl) £14.95
This is not just sweet, but it has an interesting complexity that finishes a meal perfectly.
