Highlands including Campbeltown
Geographically the largest region; these Malts exhibit a variety of styles, from the hardness and marine tint of Talisker on the Isle of Skye, to the subtle taste of Glengoyne situated close to Glasgow.
Clynelish 14 year old - 46% A stroll between bright sand dunes, dotted with wild herbs. £5.00

Glendronach 12 year old - 43% A superb richly sherried single malt. It's creamy, silky smooth, warm with hints of ginger and raisins. £5.00
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban - 46% Dark and intense whisky with mint chocolate and walnut tastes. Leaving you with a long lasting silky aftertaste with a hint of orange. £5.70
Highland Park 12 year old - 40% This is one of the best entry-level whiskies, and represents among the best value for money as well. Great balance of subtle peat and honey sweetness. £4.00
Macallan Gold - 40% Natural dark colours with a deep, rich, smooth and fantastic flavour with hints of sherry and wood. £4.00
Oban 14 year old - 40% Slightly salty but with a smooth finish and a butter toffee aftertaste. £5.00
Fettercairn Fior - 42% Rich flavours of cocoa, espresso, spices, fruit and almond with a subtle peatyness. £6.00

One of the larger islands off the west coast, Islay is rugged and very exposed to the North Atlantic. The influence of the sea is usually obvious, in aroma and taste, as the whiskey matures in its briney environment.
Ardbeg 10 year old - 46% Smoke and brine nose, medium body, sweetness going to salt. £4.50
Bowmore 12 year old - 40% Pears soaked in honey, smoked over peat with dark chocolate. £3.40
Bruichladdich Classic Laddie - 50% Unpeated, with apple and honeyed barley flavours and the trademark Islay wafts of sea air. £4.75
Lagavulin 16 year old - 43% One of Islay's most iconic single malts, with aromas of Lapsang Souchong tea and a rich, caramel palate. £6.00
Laphroaig 10 year old - 40% Famously medicinal and sea-weedy in taste, with a hint of oily sweetness. £4.30
This area has the highest concentration of distilleries in Scotland, with much of the water coming from the mighty river Spey. The whiskies have a greater similarity than in other regions: generally being complex and elegant, with honey and heather tones.

The area between Dundee and Greenock has fewer distilleries than any other region, producing softer mellower whiskies than their more northerly counterparts.
