Here is just a little info to let you get to know us better...
Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.
If you'd like to put a name to a face, allow us to introduce you to the crew...
Assistant Manager
Minni has been working within Brunning and Price since 2020. Starting at our sister pub the Roebuck as a trusty waitress, she has worked her way up throughout the years and became Assistant Manager when she moved to the Steampacket. In her spare time you can find Minni at her local pub drinking a glass (or bottle) of her favourite wine, a New Zealand Sauvy B!
Supervisor
Jose is 53 loud and proud and you will never see him standing still. If we had an award for the most organised person in the pub it would go to him! When he's not cleaning a shelf, organising the cellar or pulling a pint he'll be at home baking, and boy do we love his baking! The rest of team steam really don't mind being a guinea pig when he brings the puds over. He's an absolute delight to have around the pub. He's an honest, trustworthy and hard working guy who loves to have fun at work and he enjoys going on the B&P wine tasting days. Jose is an excellent team player!!
Bar/Waiting
All the way from Nepal... we have Pooja! It's always a good day when Pooja is around, she brings a smile to everyone's face. Pooja is currently studying at University in London and in her spare time she enjoys going out with friends and exploring new places. Pooja's nicknames are Manager Pooja and Queen Pooja... that should tell you everything you have to know!
Sous Chef
Derico knows his way around a kitchen. We think he has great taste generally although his choice of football team has our current Head Chef bewildered. Honestly, you couldn't find a better atmosphere in any kitchen on a Man City Vs. Man Utd day if they are both working together. D hails from Goa and has come up with a few dishes that we sneak in occasionally on the light bites that showcase that. Now we just need to convert him into a Bee's fan!
Chef de Partie
Everyone loves Money right? We certainly do... He loves working here at the Steam Packet, and is happiest when creating new dishes for your delight. Manvir is entering his third year with us and we can honestly say he brings that little bit of sunshine and joy to work that makes the day seem, well, more than just work. He doesn't follow football but will happily tell the other chefs that they should support the team from the area they are from. We couldn't agree more...
