Grosvenor Arms beer festival 2019
Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd June
After the success of the Grosvenor Arms Beer Festival last year, we thought we would do it all again on the weekend of 21st June, we have been working hard to make sure it will be bigger and better than last year.
We’ll kick things off from 5pm on Friday 21st June, carry on all day and evening on Saturday and finish up on Sunday 23rd June, around 6ish or until we’re out of beer, whichever comes first!
There’ll be a marquee on the lawn, with 25 beers, ciders, scrumpies, gins and fizz; live music throughout the weekend, BBQ, and plenty to occupy the little ones with lots of garden games.
Music wise we will open the festival sounds with The Deluded from Aldford from 7pm, Saturday we will start things up with the very talented Jess Thake at 2pm, Lucy Mayhew will then make her third appearance at the Grosvenor at 4pm, The Straw dogs, Harkers favourites will make their debut for us and play from 6pm - 8pm then our old friends Jacob's Ladder will play until it is time to go home. On Sunday we have a much anticipated return of the Deportees at 1pm the we have Amber Prothero at 3pm.
For those who remember the beer festival of old, the tug of war competition will take place again at 2pm on Saturday 22nd June. Chatting to some of our locals at the bar, they say ‘it was the hardest ten minutes of their life’ but the prize of a barrel of beer helped keep their focus. The things you do for a free pint!
The Aldford Village fete is happening on the village green behind the pub on Saturday 22nd June, from 1pm – 5pm.
It promises to be a fab weekend, with lots going on, so we hope to see you there.
