Aberfeldy 12 - Highland 40% This award winning malt is bright in colour and clean in taste, with citrus notes and layers of honey and hazelnut. £4.70
Aberlour 10 - Speyside 40% Sweet nutmeg spice with a peppery dryness. A flavoursome oxymoron. £3.40
Ardbeg 10 - Islay 46% Smoke and brine nose, medium body, sweetness going to salt. £4.70
Auchentoshan 12 - Lowland 40% Flavours of pineapple, cereals, and soft vanilla remain in taste and impression. £3.90
Balvennie 14 Caribbean Cask - Speyside 43% Sweet vanilla forms a creamy palate with notes of apples and mangos, and a hint of orange. £5.80
Benriach 10 - Speyside 43% This single malt is drawn from ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Expect hearty barley backed up by orchard fruit and toasted almond, alongside just a hint of herbaceous oak. £5.80
Bowmore 12 - Islay 40% Coastal smoke and ash soon make way for bergamot, orange zest, lemon slices and some hay before becoming rather floral. £3.80
Caol Ila 12 - Islay 43% Good body, oily, tar, elegant smoke and hints of boiled sweets. £4.30
Clynelish 14 - Highland 46% The balance is sublime and the mouthfeel is perfectly rounded. Dry oak flavours with hints of mixed fruits, vanilla and leather. £5.30
Cragganmore 12 - Speyside 40% This bottling from the Cragganmore distillery represents Speyside and proffers a rich, slightly floral whisky with barley notes. £3.80
Dalmore 12 - Highland 40% This single malt from the Dalmore distillery is a toasty, coffee-rich dram with beautiful spice notes and a thick mouthfeel. Very rich for a 12 year old. £4.50
Dalwhinnie 15 - Highland 43% Malty with walnuts steeped in manuka honey and vanilla sponge. Gentle smoke weaves its way through the cereal with a touch of spice. £4.00
Dimple Golden Selection - Highland 40% With plenty of vanilla pod and succulent dried fruit, alongside hints of cigar box, this whisky is a rather handsome chap indeed. £4.00
Edradour - Highland 40% This whisky is a rather unique single malt, a decidedly rum-like dram with a thick mouthfeel. Some may find themselves lost in the mêlée, not quite enough method to the madness. £4.30
Glenfarclas 15 - Speyside 46% Amber with sherry and malt and a touch of smoke. Long and smooth. £5.70
Glenfiddich 12 - Speyside 40% Lots of sherry character comes through here. Spicy and smooth in harmony. £3.40
Glenkinchie 12 - Lowland 43% The nose is quite light, yet fragrant whilst the palate is very fruity with notes of Madeira and sweet stewed fruits. £3.90
Glenlivet 12 Founder's Reserve - Speyside 40% Pale gold with a clean flowery nose. Long, gently warming vanilla. £3.50
Glenmorangie 10 - Highland 40% Fresh and balanced with vanilla and boiled sweets. Very creamy with hints of toffee tiramisu. £3.40
Highland Park 18 - The Islands 43% A major player in the single malt world; has to be tasted to be believed! £9.50
Lagavulin 16 - Islay 43% Very thick and rich. A massive mouthful of malt and sherry with a wonderful fruity sweetness. £5.80
Laphroaig 10 - Islay 40% Famously medicinal and sea-weedy in taste, with a hint of oily sweetness. £4.40
Macallan Double Cask Gold - Speyside 40% Lots of zest combined with spice, creates a malt that goes down very easily indeed. £3.90
Monkey Shoulder - Speyside 40% A very malty and creamy delivery, which offers a palate of berry fruit, juicy toasted barley, cloves and butterscotch. A hint of honey, hot buttered toast and dried apricot develop. £3.15
Royal Lochnagar 12 - Highland 40% Big, smoky and smooth with restrained fruit and malt. £4.70
Springbank 10 - Cambeltown 46% Salad and tropical fruit and a hint of warmth on the finish make this an interesting one for sure. £5.00
Talisker 10 - The Islands 45.8% Full bodied with huge plumes of smoke and volcanic, peppery peat. Intense! £4.10
Irish, Welsh and Japanese Whiskey
Bushmills 10 year - 40% A superb 10 year old Irish single malt and winner of Best Irish Single Malt Whiskey at the 2007 World Whiskies Awards. £3.50
Jamesons - 40% Sweet malted barley with butter tones and subtle oak and notes of spicy nut mixing in and out. £3.20
Penderyn Welsh whisky - 41% Spicy and fruity palate with a suggestion of custard powder. A great example of a Welsh Whisky. £3.85
Nikka From the Barrel - 51.4% An incredible Japanese whisky; so much power! £5.90
Hibiki Japanese Harmony - 43% Harmony - a rather apt word to describe this well-balanced Japanese blended whisky. An elegant expression, with wafts of honey, orange, a herbaceous touch or two and light oak. £5.90
Bourbon and American Whiskey
Buffalo Trace - 40% A great whiskey, with oodles of vanilla, barrel char and spicy complexity. £3.20
Gentleman Jack - 40% Smooth and very toasty with a dryish start but becoming surprisingly sweet. A spicy, syrupy background. £3.90
Jim Beam - 40% Quite sweet with gentle notes of vanilla and cut hay, a touch of fresh corn fields and a little cereal sweetness, like the bluegrass fields of Kentucky. £3.20
Makers Mark - 45% Developed by Bill Samuels Sr, he replaced rye with red winter wheat to reduce the burning sensation. Fruity and rich this whiskey has lovely notes of spiced honey and mixed peels. £3.20
Woodford Reserve - 43.3% There are notes of espresso beans, winter spice, cereal sweetness, plenty of rye, ground ginger, almond oil, toasty oak and a little rum. £3.70
