We’re looking for a confident and outgoing Supervisor with a great sense of humour to support the management crew for around 40 hours per week.

The role will be very hands-on and extremely varied – you’ll be running shifts and overseeing sections to ensure the best possible customer service.

You’ll need to be a real foodie with a genuine passion for great customer service together with existing knowledge, or an interest in learning about cask ales, beers, wines and spirits.

We need someone who has a real eye for the detail and ideally, previous supervisory experience in a similar pub or restaurant environment.

Bar and Waiting Staff

One of our lovely team is off travelling (lucky thing!) so we're in need of someone to join our bar team on a full or part time basis. You don’t need to have experience (though it always helps) as we’ll teach you everything you need.

Sous Chef

Salary package up to £28,000 plus benefits 

We’re looking for someone who, as well as having excellent skills as a Sous Chef, has a passion for good, fresh food, a good head for business and experience in helping to set and achieve GP percentages and wage targets.


For us it’s all about serving fresh, simple, high quality traditional dishes extremely well and together with the head chef you will help write the menus, assist in sourcing ingredients from the best suppliers and set and maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency.


You’ll need to have the ability to efficiently manage the kitchen in the head chef’s absence and so your kitchen management and organisational skills will be of paramount importance. Creating a happy working atmosphere is vital to the successful running of the kitchens, and comes high on our agenda.


This will be a vital role in the pub and is an excellent stepping stone on the road to managing your own kitchen.

Chef de Partie

£21k - £24k + paid overtime + tips

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our beautiful gastro pub on the outskirts of Hayward Heath which will be getting a refurb early in 2019!

As Chef de Partie you'll be an essential part of the kitchen team. That means you'll be cooking and working across all sections, but you'll also have an opportunity to contribute ideas for the regularly changing, seasonal fresh food menu. We make almost everything from scratch so this is a kitchen for a Chef de Partie who really loves fresh ingredients and has a passion for flavours.

We're part of Brunning & Price, which means we have all the independance to run our pub and kitchen how we want, but with the support and stability of a rapidly growing big group backing us up whevever we need it.

As our Chef de Partie you will:

  • Have solid experience in a fresh food kitchen
  • Be able to handle a section on a busy service
  • Prepare fresh food dishes from scratch across all sections
  • Help to manage stock and ensure minimal wastage
  • Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and H&S

Part Time Chef

Competitve hourly rate plus tips and benefits 

We are looking for a part time Chef to work approximately 20 hours per week - you'll be flexible as days and hours will vary and will include evening and weeekend shifts.

You will help support our brigade of professional chefs in our busy pub by helping in all areas of the kitchen which will include food preparation, storing deliveries, temperature checks.

The potential here is enormous so we’re looking for an ambitious and committed chef with a passion for good food. 

We provide all our chefs with real opportunities to develop with us into a senior chef role with training and support in place for you along the way.
