Front of house

Front of house supervisor

We’re looking for a Supervisor to support the management crew for around 30 hours per week.

The role will be very hands-on and extremely varied – you’ll be running shifts and overseeing sections to ensure the best possible customer service. 

Being a Supervisor is an ideal opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of every aspect of pub life.  We’ll make sure you are able to take advantage of lots of opportunities for training and development and we always try to promote from within when we can. 

You’ll need to be a real foodie with a genuine passion for great customer service together with existing knowledge, or an interest in learning about cask ales, beers, wines and spirits.

We need someone who has a real eye for the detail and ideally, previous supervisory experience in a similar pub or restaurant environment. 

On a personal note, we look for confident and outgoing individuals with a great sense of humour and the ability to help build, lead and inspire a successful team.

Kitchen

Sous Chef

Salary up to £25,000 per annum + benefits and tips + accommodation*

We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade at the Woodbridge Inn in Coalport.

This is a vital role in the pub and provides a real opportunity to become involved in all aspects of helping to run a busy kitchen in a fresh food environment. 

Our seasonal menu has a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery.  Our passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way. 

Together with the head chef you will help write the menus, assist in sourcing ingredients from the best suppliers and set and maintain the highest standards of food quality and consistency. 

You’ll also need to help efficiently run service in the head chef’s absence and so your kitchen management and organisational skills will be of paramount importance. 

Naturally you’ll need excellent cooking skills, experience in helping to set and achieve GP percentages and the ability to manage high volumes with the right standards of quality and consistency.  

As a Sous Chef we’ll reward you with a salary up to £25,000 (plus benefits and tips) with rewarding career development opportunities and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on a number of occasions.

Chef de Partie

Salary up to £19,000 per annum + benefits/tips + accommodation*

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who will help set the highest standards of food quality and consistency.

This is a busy working environment, and as well as having high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail, you’ll help the crew set the bar high in terms of cooking delicious dishes, maintaining effective kitchen controls and adhering to excellent standards of health and hygiene.

The potential here is enormous and we’re looking for an ambitious and committed chef with a passion for good food who is ready to take the next step in their career.

We provide all our chefs with real opportunities to develop with us into a senior chef role with training and support in place for you along the way.

Depending on your experience, we’ll reward you with a salary between up to £19,000 per annum (plus benefits and tips) and you’ll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on numerous occasions.

Maintenance

Cleaner

£8.30 per hour

We’re looking for an experienced, friendly and conscientious person to help clean and keep our busy pub looking great.

Hours of work will be two mornings a week, 3 hours per shift.

General duties include vacuuming,sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, toilet cleaning, use of floor buffing machine and other general cleaning tasks.
