The White Horse

Beaconsfield

About Us

Here is just a little info to let you get to know us better...

History

Here is little potted history of our pub and the local area... if you have a spare minute or two and maybe a cup of tea (or is that a G&T), we think it's well worth read.

If you'd like to put a name to a face, allow us to introduce you to the crew...

Front of house

Fernando

Manager

Fernando joined us from the Mute Swan, one of our sister pubs. A experienced manager with many venues along his career, he brings a wealth of experience to Beaconsfield. A real people person, you can find him making people laugh, showcasing his wine and food knowledge or developing new ideas for the pub. During his time off, you'll find him spending time with his fiancée Amy and his frenchie Sid or on the golf course.

Emily

Trainee Assistant Manager

Emily is one of our FOH superstars. After spending years in sales and offices, Emily discovered hospitality, and we are so glad she did, because she is excellent at it! Known for her friendly and approachable demeanour, Emily loves taking care of our guests and she loves to see them enjoying their experience. When not at work, you are most likely to find her with a glass of rose in her hand and Rocky, her beautiful dog, by her side.

Peter

Bar/Waiting

We can't imagine a busy service without Peter, with his big infectious smile! Whether he is running food or around the floor, barely anything gets past his eye. He might not be a man of many words, but when you are so efficient as he is, you don't need them. Outside of work he is a dedicated accountancy student, and rumour has it he is also the king of the dance floor.

Junior

Bar/Waiting

An essential part of the crew, Junior loves to be part of the team and spend time with regular guests. We are lucky to have him here before he flies away, and quite literally, because Junior is training to be a pilot. Calm under pressure and always composed, he is the kind of person you want to have by your side on a busy shift.

Kitchen

Chris

Head Chef

Chris started with us as a sous chef, but his eye for detail and passion propelled him to take the reigns of the kitchen. His calm, collected and cool manner makes him the perfect leader for our kitchen. When he is not behind the pass, you can find him at the gym or taking care of his amazing coral reef!

Gareth

Sous Chef

Gareth joined the White Horse as a sous chef, making an instant impact on the kitchen. Always with a can do attitude and a contagious laugh, his positive energy spreads through the whole team! Outside of work, you can find him spending time with his no so tiny pup Solego.

Pete

Commis Chef

Pete started his White Horse life behind the bar looking after our guests as well as our ales, when lending a hand in the kitchen he found his calling and never looked back. A local lad there's not much about Beaconsfield Pete doesn't know.

Maintenance

Richard

Kitchen Porter

Richard is the other half of our Kitchen assistant dynamic duo! Like mark keeping our kitchen sparkling isn't the only string to his bow, Richard is also rather handy with a drill and a paintbrush and takes care of many of the odd jobs around the pub. Legend has it in a time long forgotten he worked in the pub as a 12-year-old boy restocking the bar in its original incarnation as The White Horse.

Mark

Kitchen Porter

Mark, is one half of our kitchen assistant dynamic duo and a big part of why the pub looks so good, if he's not washing the dishes you'll finding potting plants or trimming our bushes. When he's not at work you'll likely find him at the bar of one of Beaconsifled's many pubs conducting what he tells us is an extensive competition review.
