It is a large property sitting in its own grounds with many spacious, airy rooms, and plenty more intimate nooks and crannies to nestle away in if you’re so inclined. Open fires abound throughout, with wooden floors, an attractive collection of rugs and plants, and lots of good old furniture. It has real character.
To the rear of the pub extensive raised terraces overlook the landscaped lawns and countryside beyond. It’ll be a wonderful spot for an al fresco lunch in the summer.
We're delighted to pass on that Wirral CAMRA have awarded The Red Fox with "CAMRA - Wirral pub of the season". As you can imagine we're made up. Hopefully this is the first of many to come.
iFootpath have kindly created a circular walk from the pub to help you work up that thirst/appetite. You can view the walk details via any of the routes below. (varying levels of tech savyness required -Ed)
Come and celebrate World Gin Day with us at our very own gin festival, running from Friday 10th June to Sunday 12th June .... we've expanded our current Gin Bar to over 100 gins, that should really make this year's event even bigger and bettter than ever!
The Red Fox Gin Festival will highlight nine hand picked gins from our extensive gin bar including Burleighs and The Botanist (the rest are a mystery for you to discover). As well as the gins there will be individual tonic tasting, home grown garnishes and live music across the weekend.
So, whether it's a bit of 'Dutch Courage' you need or some 'Mother's Ruin' why not pop down for a truly ginteresting experience.
Friday 6pm - 11pm
Saturday 12pm - 11pm
Sunday 12pm - 10pm
We look forward to seeing you then.
