Easter Weekend
Over the Easter weekend our pub was a hive of activity with a dog walk, Easter egg hunt and tractor naming competition taking place on consecutive days. Despite mother nature not playing ball and trying her best to disrupt proceedings by bringing along Storm Katie it didn’t deter our lovely customers who made sure all three days were well attended. On Saturday the rain was lashing down but that didn’t deter half a dozen hardy souls from joining James and Emily on our dog walk. After filling up with a warming hot drink and bacon sarnie we hit the muddy footpaths for an enjoyable walk around the picturesque countryside. The next day saw our garden get invaded by several children hunting for over 200 hundred plastic eggs the Easter bunny had hidden. All who found an egg were rewarded with a chocolate egg given out by the Easter bunny himself. To round off the weekend we had our tractor naming competition and the winner was local young lady Darcy who bestowed the name Trigger on our four-wheeled garden resident.
