Welcome

This marvellous Grade 1 listed pub is believed to date from 1656 and was once the residence of the Lords of the Manor of Sandbach.

It is a building held in some affection by local townspeople, who formed a pressure group to save the decaying building when it lay unoccupied for some four years before we were steered towards it.

The building makes the most wonderful pub. There are gems of historic features and atmosphere in abundance with the wooden floors, beams and opens fires. We added a light filled garden room to the rear of the building which looks out upon a stone terrace, both of which make the most of sunnier days.

We look forward to seeing you,
Hannah and the Old Hall team.
