Deputy Manager
John or "Jonty"; as he is known to us all, came to us from the famous Griffin in Fletching. He is bit of a food and wine buff and really knows his onions, he is a great asset to the team and is very well spoken.

Charlotte Arnold
Assistant Manager
Charlotte has been with the Nevill since the beginning and loves the place. She is a real trooper and is never happier than when the pub is bustling with customers. She originally trained as a make up artist but thankfully for us she ended up here looking glamorous all the time. The Grannies love her, and it's not unusual to see her being hugged as she sends them on their merry way.

Assistant Manager
David, or Davey GaGa as he is better known here, has been in pubs and bars all his life, and he doesn't look bad for it. He adores real ales and is never happier than when he is pottering around the cellar in his oversized green wellies. He is married with a young family and will hopefully be part of the Nevill furniture for a long time to come.

Kitchen

Jason Hodgson
Head Chef
Back in the day, Jason was head chef at the Hare, Brunning and Price's other pub in Tunbridge Wells, and he achieved some great things there. Pastures green beckoned, and he moved on to other challenges, most recently at the Old Mill in East Grinstead, but happily we nabbed him to head up the kitchen team here at the NCG. He's very talented, unlike his football team.

Gareth Evans
Sous Chef
Gareth hails from South Africa, but luckily for us he settled in Edenbridge. He's a man of few words who lets his cooking do the talking and is proving to be the 'yin' to Jason's 'yang'. He comes from a local Michelin starred restaurant, so he knows his beans. Gareth is kept busy when he is not working by his daughter Lily and is married to Charlotte.

Andrew Buss
Junior Sous Chef
Andrew or "Andy" as he is better known is the third chef in our senior team, he works like a Trojan, is a great motivator and works magic when the kitchen gets busy. Andy is a die hard Chelsea fan and his favourite tipple is a Screwdriver. He is also camera shy.

Senior Chef de Partie
'Our Stevo' as he is affectionately known by the team, was keen to point out from the outset of his profile that he drives a Renault Sport Clio and not a Renault Clio, as evidently the Sport makes a difference. Stevo joined us from Burnswood Hospital where he cooked for many years and is a great all rounder - his desserts are to die for. When not working Steve likes to cycle, drink lager, run and watch football.

Chef de Partie
There is never a dull moment, or indeed a quiet moment, when Alex is around. He is keen to learn and earn his spurs and shows mountains of promise. Alex lives locally and enjoys nothing more than socialising with friends and drinking real ale.

Commis Chef
David comes from the West Country and has many years of catering experience under his belt. His dry and witty sense of humour keeps us entertained throughout the day and his favorite fish is haddock.

Trainee Chef
Matty, or the Creme Brulée kid, as he is known, likes to spend his time singing along to Micheal Bublé and Katie Perry. When he's not serenading the kitchen he's tinkering with his 'motorbike' (more glorified moped), or, when it's working, falling off it. He's come on leaps and bounds since he joined us, and we have big plans for him (as long as he keeps all his fingers).

Maintenance

Graham Wilton
Gardener/Handyperson
Graham, AKA Magnum P.I. for his likeness to Tom Selleck (or perhaps its just the moustache), has been a fireman for 37 years but has chosen to hang up his fire-proof boots for a more subdued life. Unfortunately there's plenty for him to do around 'the Gun', but if Graham can't fix it then it isn't worth fixing.

Cleaner
David is the effervescent self-proclaimed life and soul of the kitchen. There is quite simply never a dull moment when David is around and the kitchen team have very quickly begun to rely on him (and his cakes). In a previous life he spent many years working for a law firm as a senior secretary in the city, but these days, when he's not commanding the floor buffer, he's relaxing on the terrace with a bottle of Chablis (or two). Every pub needs a David.
