With Spring well underway, the days drawing longer and Summer knocking at the door, it's almost certainly time to get outside and make the most of the beautiful British countryside around us.
We’d like to invite you to join Ed and family including crazy spaniel Astair on Bank Holiday Monday 28th May for a 4-mile circular Pub Walk.
Everyone is welcome including four legged friends and children – although there are a few stiles and it’s a bit muddy underfoot in places so pushchairs won’t be practical.
The route follows a loop through the two adjoining nature reserves – Eridge Rocks and Broadwater Warren. The woodland walk is really beautiful with mixed woodland, sandstone outcrops and open heath being home to a wide range of birds, dormice and Exmoor ponies.
Arrive at 10am for bacon butties and a cuppa on the house, before setting off at 10.30am prompt for the walk.
It should take around 2 hours to finish, after which we’ll reconvene in the bar for a couple of well-deserved scoops and perhaps a spot of lunch if you fancy (please reserve a table if you’d like some lunch as spaces are limited.)
If you could just drop us an email or phone call if you’d like to come along so we know how many bacon butties to rustle up.
Hope to see you then,
Ed and the Nevill crest & Gun crew
