Chris Little
Manager
‘Cheffo’, as he is known, has been at the Hare since 1996 and came to us from head-cheffing at the Harkers Arms in Chester. During his time here the pub has won best dining pub in Kent (Good Pub Guide). He has a passion for food and working long hours, but he is over thirty now, so finds it harder to party on through. He loves Manchester United and has called his pet rabbit Trafford, for goodness’ sake. He is not a natural collars-and-cuffs blonde, and is married to Lisa.

Deputy Manager
Having returned from living in Los Angeles for seven years following an illustrious career in showbiz, writing music and sound effects for TV and film, Andy joined us at the Hare in the summer of 2005. Before moving to the USA he was a session musician playing bass guitar in various bands touring the world, and still enjoys the odd gig or two. A bit of a surfer dude at heart with a sunny disposition and a warm smile he spends most of his holidays abroad catching waves surfing and sailing.

Maria Byford
Assistant Manager
Maria or “Ickle Byfords”, is now on her second stint at the Hare, having recently decided to return from the playboy paradise of Peurto Benuse to return to the playboy paradise of Langton Green. Maria previously worked in and around offices, and more recently Bank telling, but now prefers the extreme sport of Chef-baiting, despite her diminutive stance.

Kitchen

Jamie Nailor
Head Chef
Jamie, or “Nails” as he’s known to the local manicurist, is a very calm and level-headed chap. One of the new breed of chefs never loosing his cool (it’s all become very civil in the kitchen these days), Jamie joins us after recent head-cheffing stints at lots of good local pubs. Nails is a particular favourite of Chris’s for their shared love of all things red – particularly Man united. A keen footballer himself, Jamie is threatening to revive the Hare footy team (we think the strip may have shrunk).

Chef de Partie
Known as Trigger. Even his mum calls him Trigger. Chris started in 1997 and is the backbone of the kitchen. He works overtime every week to keep the kitchen spotless, and on top of that he makes a mean sticky toffee pudding.

Carolina Jeppson
Commis Chef
Carolina joins us from Sweden where she completed her three years chef training. Carolina is a big fan of British cuisine and a bigger fan of British pubs. Expect to see her amazin' meatballs on the menu sometime soon.

Maintenance

Cleaner
Janet started at the Hare in 1987, long before Brunning and Price took the pub, and is a mother figure to the crew new and old. She is one of the rocks on which the pub is built, and when you phone the pub in the morning it is more than likely that she’ll be the one helping you.
