Links - Preserves & condiments
These pages feature a number of websites that we've come across over the years or that have been recommended, and that we think might interest our customers and crew - the foodie sites are geared up to serve the domestic market, so we use them personally rather than as a business.
If you've found any good sites that you think would sit well here, do please send us a link and we'll have a look at it.
By the way, if you happen to find any links have stopped working please report them to webmaster@brunninngandprice.co.uk.
Preserves & condiments
Chilli Lime Deli

An enormous site with condiments, pickles, oils and deli items from around the world, including some really exotic stuff. You're bound to find something intesesting here, and a fair bit you've never heard of - such as Barbadian Tangy Starfruit Sauce - and some absolute classics, such La Chinata Sweet Smoked Paprika, which you need to put on your birthday present list.
Christine Huddleston

Christine Huddleston "makes unique home-made preserves each season from the finest fresh ingredients". Whole fruit conserves and jams, citrus marmalades, mature chutneys, fruit relishes, English wine jellies and ice-cream sauces are all made from her own recipes in her own kitchen. New recipes include red onion marmalade with fresh cranberries, cucumber and celery (“sounds summery, but it has a real bite and freshness that is lovely with ham”) but you’ll find all sorts - quince cheese; red wine jelly with fresh tarragon; pear, fig and walnut with Somerset Cider brandy - over 30 different products in all, as well as a small selection of cakes.
The Hawkshead Relish Company

A large product range stuffed with mustards, jams, oils, vinegars, chutneys and relishes, including a fair fistful of award-winners including their own Worcester Sauce, named Hawkshead Relish. A hardworking site which is easy to navigate and use, with a full on-line ordering facility.
The New Forest Jam and Chutney Company

Situated in a previously derelict dairy in the world famous medieval village of Beaulieu, the New Forest Jam and Chutney Company makes between 15 and 25 different jams, marmalades, chutneys and game jellies depending on the season, which are cooked by hand in saucepans. In the autumn, seasonal jellies include Wild Crabapple jelly, Medlar jelly, Sloe & Apple jelly and Victorian Quince jelly. You can’t order on-line but they have details here of their product range.
