Links - Spices
These pages feature a number of websites that we've come across over the years or that have been recommended, and that we think might interest our customers and crew - the foodie sites are geared up to serve the domestic market, so we use them personally rather than as a business.
If you've found any good sites that you think would sit well here, do please send us a link and we'll have a look at it.
By the way, if you happen to find any links have stopped working please report them to webmaster@brunninngandprice.co.uk.
Spices
Cool Chile Company

If Mexican food is your thing, then this is where you want to be: not only do they offer a fabulous variety of fresh and dried chillies, graded by heat and with full tasting notes, but lots of other goodies like fresh tomatillos (similar to Cape gooseberries), fresh Jicama tubers (?), numerous condiments, tortillas and various bits of exotic paraphernalia you never realised you sorely lacked.
Seasoned Pioneers

A friendly and informative website devoted to all things spicy, aimed at helping "adventurous souls achieve culinary inspiration", with a focus on "total authenticity". As well as a catalogue of spices and spice blends from the world’s cuisines to order, there are lots of foodie bits and pieces, recipes, and a discussion forum.
The Spice Shop

Bergit Erath started out as a student with a market stall on Portabello road, and now retails some 2,500 products. This is an informative and interesting site, with recipes from Bergit's cookbook, and ‘spice bundles’ that feature the spices needed to follow a favourite chef’s recipe styles - which means there is a Jamie Oliver bundle, and a Delia Smith bundle etc. Sounds an odd concept if you ask me, but there are some weird and wonderful things here that deserve exploring.
